Just back from a busy day with Ollie (that's BlackC55, please could a mod edit the title, ty), fitting my new OEM Bi-xenons, plus auto-levelling. :D

Fitting the loom for the sensors required the usual swathes of trim be removed plus out with the front SAM, battery and wipers.

Attaching the sensors front and rear was, erm, "fun". The front was fairly straight forward but the rear required the spring to be removed, then ages trying the attach the braket to the lower suspension arm, access was tight!

The actual lighting units went in very easily, all connected up fine and "BING" there was light!!   - Yes they are that bright! :D

A HUGE thank you to Ollie who laboured away, uncomplainingly, all day. Checking, test fitting, adjusting until he got each part fitted just so.

A great job!

Well done! Post some photos of the finished job. I'm also looking at this mod I just need another headlamp:(

nice one guys, xenons are the way to go!

It really is a great addition and recomended. Now the first one is out of the way form an orderly que for retrofits.

It's nice to see someone doing the whole job and not just fitting the light units.
Any pics or a write up of the work involved.?

There was every intention of taking pictures etc. but as we got so involved we sort of, forgot :o

Yes! It's the fitting of the auto-levelling loom and sensors that would be most informative :)

Retro fits, did I hear you say! Expect a call in the morning for my list of retro fits :D

Can anyone host pdf files as I have the full instructions for fitting the levelling system.

Yes, it would be really useful to be able to link / attach larger pdfs

Yes but this one page doc is 400kb. Adobe can't split it further

I guess I could host it if its not copyrighted material...

PS, what's a rough guide price for the total job?

Adam

Sounds interesting, the thing that's put me off going for Xenon's being picky like me is that I'd want to do it properly. Roughly what is the cost of the loom and the levelling gear?

Could it be worth retrofitting some of this when I have my suspension done?
