The connections to the control module for the memory seats are different and so i needed to swap out both back and head rest motors so they can plug in correctly.
Gotta love this for detail, you cannot go wrong!
Just two bolts holding the motors back rest motor on
The headrest motor is held in by two screws on the bracket
I had to also swap out the headrest rod to the rail as they are different for memory seats, purely as the motors are different.
Making sure the wires are fed back as they originally were, this was a little bit fiddly as the trim piece is hidden from view behind the tilt hinges.
Two torx 45 bolts to tighten the seat to the base, and the same on the other side, feed the seatbelt wiring through the hole and push it through the bottom of the seat.
...And as if by magic you have a memory seat! Notice how i havn't mentioned anything about the heated seats. This is because the wiring in both versions are exactly the same which is a bonus and there is nothig to do.
The seat is ready to test tomorrow so fingers crossed. If all goes well, i'll install the remaining trim pieces on the sides and put the back rest on and this seat is good to store away for the install later on.
....all thats left to do is the driver side! :bannana:
