Never overlook the obvious...

Saloon propshafts do not fit the coupe, and 6cyl propshafts have a larger bolt pcd on the rubber couplings. I knew that and yet I still forgot about it.

But luckily I keep a few in stock, so was able to make up a prop to do the job.

So after some messing about Billys car now has a propshaft that talks 320 at the front end, and 220 at the rear end. I think the front part is from a 190e 2.6, and the rear from a e300 diesel.

Cam cover looks better than expected in black. Is the spark plug cover in matching black as well? looking forward to the seeing the completed engine bay.

Did you get the m104 in there without removing the slam panel?

...as it is, even with a boot and rear seats full of stuff..... it's not looking bad at all currently.

Thats not the actual one we will be using, the original one is away getting powder coated black.

Simon's just put this one on for temp measure so he can run the engine and do all the fluids.

That's a spare cam cover on there at the moment, the real one is still away being painted. I'm going to try something different for the plug cover.

Yep, engine and box went in with the slam pannel in place.
