Blinking wing mirrors

I wonder if Mercedes had this patented, and are now licencing it to others...

so far I have seen the following brand new cars with factory fitted blinking wing mirrors:

- New VW beetle convertable
- New RR
- VW saloon (the rival to the S class)
- another car I can't remember!

Looks strange seeing them on a non MB's!

If anyone has it Patented it would be Honda. They had Blinking Mirrors on the Pan European bike's mirrors since 1991 I think.

I was watching Sky the other day when that advert came on, and it said press the red interactive button to order DVD, I did that and filled in details to order the making of DVD but all they sent me was an Accord Brochure!

I don't know what was on the DVD but it was free and I thought it might be interesting.

I got my DVD from Honda.

It contains:

Full length advert, Half length advert, How advert was made, Music tracks & a tour of both saloon and estate models.
