Who knows why my self closing boot isn't! I've had it apart loads of times. All seems to work except the boot tounge does not stay out, ready for the boot to be closed. Help.

Door closing assistant, which has nothing to do with this problem.
Ordinary central locking system, which this function is a part of. Check for vacume leaks in lines or actuator leak. Do you hear any hiss when opening/closing the boot lock? Does the filling gap locking work?
Central locking pump is located below the rear seat.
Hi Markku, Thanks for replying.
I have two vacuum lines to boot closing system, one goes to the handle that pops out when you open the boot it also goes to the lock system in the boot lid - this line comes from the PSE module (central locking system) The second vacuum line is red and does come from the door assist pump which is behind the back seat on the left side - you can access this from the boot.
If you manually flick the latch over and make the switch as if you were closing the boot you can hear the central locking pump start and the door assist pump start. All of the actuators in the lock unit take their turns in operating but the latch tounge pops back in so it is not extended ready for the boot to be closed. Sorry if this is a bit of a read but it's driving me nuts as it appears all is working ok - even the fuel filler lock works!
Thanks Martin :
