I love those wheel. They suit the car.

Thankyou Fred, I'm trying to get the car back to a Understated more standard look, Now on the look out for a Chrome Distronic grille.

So if anyone out there has one to sell or swop please feel free to PM

Loving following this thread. Stunning car and obviously loved.

Funny I just posted yesterday about treating myself to an AMG next year when my pension matures. So good of you to get him ready for the sale :thumb:;)

The correct side badges make so much difference imo.
looks great!

Rear Discs and Pads!

Well finally got around to replacing the Rear Disc's and Pads, And in true Brutus style it was a dam pitta, The Retaining pins were seized because the previous numpties didnt bother cleaning them up and copper slip them.

Managed to get them out with heat apart from one which we had to cut to get out.

Still all done now, And just in time before the wear indicator light ;)

I replaced them with Pagid Disc's and Trw pads, Reset the trip and will be bedding them in, They fell great even from the 1st application.

A added bonus the hubs are silver already which matches the fronts lol saves painting them:p to Brutus

Didn't want OEM discs/pads?

Didn't want OEM discs/pads?

I own a Small Motor Factors in Harwich Essex, "C & G Motor Factors", So i only use Oe Quality parts, Sometime's there are things that you can only Get from MB and in that case it gets done.

I think the OEM in this case would be Textar, But again Pagid, Textar, Mintex are all under the same Branding Group called TMD Friction anyway.

We haven't had any issues with Pagid brakes, nor Trw Pads so i stick to what i know.

Most issues are usually down to fitting error.

I had OEM put on mine recently... really not a fan. The brake dust is extremely annoying. Not sure what was on them before, but nothing this bad. Also, they started squealing when getting hot in lots of stop and go traffic. Embarrassing.

Next time my car goes in shop, for anything, I'm swapping them out for Akebono ceramic pads. They get universal praise for minimal brake dust, and fantastic performance. Hopefully they don't squeal also.

Im on EBC Red pads , and as long as they are fitted properly they dont squeel one bit. had them on for about 3 years now.

low dust and good bite.

I did manage to trsh a set at goodwood, but EBC replaced them for free

Hooligan...;)
