You would need STAR/Xentry to interrogate the various modules. So I guess any dealer or Indy could check

You will if you know where to look the mileage is recorded in several locations on the car not just the mileometer.

this guy got told by the audi dealer that i know you are clocking the car back on an Audi R8.

his response to them was "prove it"

the guy is still doing rentals today

Yep MB Bitmingham checked mine as its especially unclear when car is remapped. Mine came back fine.
