One of the other members helped me out a few months ago with regard to the oil filter element for my M111 engined C200 (It was grober who assisted). I now need to do a similar oil and filter change on my M112 V6 C280. Is it going to be as per the C200 without washers and things? I have a feeling not but if anyone can let me know exactly what the fitting / assembly consists of (Grober ?) then I will feel confident to tackle this job myself. Thanks.

Pretty much the same. The oil filter is in the same area.

Hi Grober,

Many many thanks. That's exactly what I wanted. Foolproof.

Regards.

You can get a special tool to fit the plastic hex head of the oil filter housing from halfords, as it can be sometimes a little tight and fitting the standard chain remover mauls up the the plastic a bit.

The tool mates with a socket set extension bar.

Thanks for this good suggestion Desilva. Actually I've already got one but thanks again anyway.
