C350e anyone considering one?

Hi all.....mine arrived this morning. As spec, no extras Sport premium estate in tenorite grey. Not had time to play with it yet, only what I could manage on my 7 mile commute to work. All seems a lot more complicated than the Golf I'm coming out of.

First impressions.....rapid!

Is the connect me standard on the c350e....I put it down as an extra but it got taken off so I assume it must be?

its definitely one of the more popular colour choices, although to be fair it looks fantastic in any colour!

Brilliant blue sport premium with artico grey, looks the bees knees. Now over 3k miles and drives a dream. Can't even tell when the engine switches off/on. Blue looks beautiful when clean. Will try post some pics.

Anyone made use of the domestic socket charge lead/portable charger? I'm probably totally wrong, but is it the case with this lead that you can plug straight onto domestic socket and it will charge (albeit very slowlly)?

As I don't have a Rolec installed yet, I did try the other charger via domestic socket, actually using an extension lead out of the garage. Did the trick and enabled my car to preheat and leave the house with a full charge. I have no idea how much electric is used or how much it cost though? Strange thing plugging in a car like a vacuum!

Did yours come with 2 cables MBrummm? Or did you have to buy a normal domestic cable sepertately?

This is mine Gary, similar to your spec but just the standard spec with privacy glass, no premium packs or sunroof.....which I would have loved

MBrummm, have you noticed any downsides to using a normal 3-pin plug instead of a specific charger?

I live in a rented property, so fitting a charging point at home is a no-go. I will be charging mine via an external waterproof 3-pin socket at home and a proper charging point at work.

Will it take longer to charger from a normal 3-pin?

Mine is a very similar spec to yours (saloon, Brilliant Blue, artico grey), no additions though, other than the reverse parking kit. It's a company car, so I didn't really want to pay for extras.

I appreciate the pictures; at least I know what my car looks like in the flesh now

Hi, I went for an untethered rolec box. Most folk seem to have ordered tethered. I just didn't want the cable draped around the unit.

yes, it comes with 2 cables (one that you plug into your domestic socket), and the other, which is a mode 3 16 amp charging cable specially for home wall boxes and public charging stations. One end in the car, the other striaght into the unit. The only difference being that I can disconnect it and pop it in the garage, as opposed to wrapping it around the unit.

Yes! I have a delivery date and number plate! February 8th. Was originally end of April so very pleased ordered October .

Iridium with grey real leather, premium plus with privacy glass, surround camera etc

Can't wait now
