Must just say a big thanks to all the people that have been posting info on the car, it's been a really useful guide for when mine eventually turns up in May\June.

On the subject of mpg it seems that the driving profile will have the biggest impact on the figures each person sees, this is probably quite common for PHEV's as the electrical side of things seems subject to so many variables.

I'm moving over from an Audi A4 Avant 2.0 TDIe, mostly due to the BIK savings but the more I look at the 350e the happier I am about doing so.
I have a pretty average driving profile at approx 36k over 3 years with mixed motorway and urban journeys. Over the life of the car I have used one of the trip meters to measure average consumption over 6 month periods and have never managed to better 40 mpg.
During this time I've done motorway journeys where I've tipped 70 mpg by very careful speed control and a light foot, but generally I have the climate control on, use heated seats in winter (dodgy back) and just drive without paying too much attention to consumption.

If I can match somewhere around the 40 mpg figure as an average with the C350e that will be fine, my interest will mainly be in how the urban use is effected by having an electric only range somewhere between 10 - 20 miles.
Additionally I am looking forward to driving a rear wheel drive car again (my first since cutting my teeth on them in the early 80's) and a bit of entertaining performance on the odd occasion (strictly rationed of course).

I fully appreciate that the C350e is not going to be for everyone (heavy motorway users who pay for their own fuel?) but I have to admit that I am looking forward to finally getting mine more than I have for previous company cars. I may feel differently if I suffer some of the technical issues mentioned within this thread but for now the anticipation builds........

You get the sun roof on both Premium and Premium Plus. For the extra £1300 (inc VAT) you get the Burmester surround sound system and the COMAND Online system. I went with the Plus to get the COMAND having been used to it on my C320cdi. I guess I'll just have to get used to the superb sound from the Burmester system... BTW, if you're getting either Prem or Prem Plus on an Estate, you'll get 18" wheels to cope with the extra weight of the sun roof.

Check out page 47 of the below....premium plus just adds the upgraded sound system (although I'm no audiophile and find the standard premium speakers more than suffice, nice and clear and plenty of bass) with silver speaker covers on the doors. A slightly bigger sat nav and command online services (which appears to be a Google based sat nav, but again standard works well). Panoramic roof comes with Premium and Premium plus. I chose to spend the extra on rear tints which compliment the sporty look.

It's obviously a personal thing as to what extras you want/need/can afford/justify the expense of

HUD anyone?

Anyone got the HUD? From the description in the brochure it would appear that the info displayed is a bit paltry. Is it worth the extra £825? Views please.

Got HUD, It´s a real gift.
Just great in size also, not had any problems in sun, rain, dark.
Only problem would be that you would not get a car without later in life.
Same goes for 360 camera, parking in narrow spaces is now a joy.

HUD combined with distronic info is also great. All you need even for navigation is there.

As said above the difference is the bigger screen display with Comand online and a better stereo.
As I only listen to the radio I am assuming the standard set up will suffice. The Premium still has a sat nav and my present car doesn't so I chose the Premium with the driver package which I felt was better value for money (more toys).
Mileage wise I'm hoping things should be good. My commute is only 6 miles each way and I think I will get better than my current BMW 320 Efficiency Dynamics which is only returning 48MPG.:(

Fair play that looks the dogs whatsits.

Wishing my life away until mine comes.

Thanks. I feel for Ye... I had a 6 month wait and it was agonising, hence why I thought I share a few thoughts/pics on here to help ease some of your pain. I actually hadn't seen a proper photo of the brilliant blue let alone driven one before receiving it. Nice surprise though :thumb::bannana:

Do you usually double park? :bannana:

:D believe it or that that was just a generous space. The newness factor hasn't worn off yet so I do my best to keep it away from the crowd. However, it must be a magnet as I usually return to find someone has parked right beside it even when the rest of the car park appears empty #unexplainedmystery :dk:

Damn right! Exactly happens to me and every time!
I'm sick of people who just park in parallel with only few inches of space left on either side of my car. I usually find the remotest location far away from morons to stretch my legs- still it attracts some!
How many times have you got dents and dimples on your doors -unnecessarily?

For that, I've made my own foamy side bumpers which I stick to the doors when I leave the car and believe me- it works.

I know what you mean. I parked in a virtually empty John Lewis car park the other night, purposely nowhere near the door and came back 20 minutes later to find I had company tight up alongside. Bizarre.

The car has attracted quite a few questions and complements when out and about though, so maybe the mystery parker wanted a closer look
