C350e anyone considering one?

My car has been delayed by a month, now showing as final checks at factory on 26th April, then it will travel over to the dealer.

Pretty disappointed, would have been good to have been kept informed up to the original eta.

Our local dealer says they don't get as much information on mine as my colleagues as mine is an estate and is made if a different plant....which of course it's not....always good when the dealers don't know the facts.

With your contract do you have a tethering allowance? I've got All-You-Can-Eat data, with a 12GB tethering allowance. Most telcos seem to block tethering/hotspot use as a default which is how the car connects to your phone.

Once you've connected, check out Navi then scroll along to (If I remember correctly) trip view, it'll show you the weather, your elevation over your drive, even cameras on the motorway nearby. Not sure if everyone has stumbled on that or not?

Thanks for all the comments /help on this.
I didn't have the hotspot activated.
I went into the dealers in York and they didn't have a clue!!

Maidenheadmerc I have done the navi scroll and I only have one tab to view don't have weather etc??

Oh and I have had some 19 inch amg alloys and rubber installed - looks the part now :)

Dare I ask how much the 19" AMG alloys and rubber came to ... I really want to do that too

Corroded connector

So my 3 week old C350e has the same problem as a few others with the corroded connector. Parts supposed to arriving from Germany yesterday but just told they're not going to arrive till the end of the month!

For now I'm having to drive a Vauxhall Astra..really miss the c350e

I really hope this is why mine is delayed, that they're fixing the issue before it comes to me.

Hope they get yours sorted quicker than expected.

Do you have the COMAND system? Here's a video I took to show what I'm on about https://youtu.be/LVlXcOZzjlc - quite interesting over a longer trip :)

Thanks for the link. Just spent a few minutes in the car playing. "Route Flight" is a useful tool. You fly over the route so you get a good overview of journey. It also flags up traffic incidents along the way. Certainly will use this when on long journeys or to new destinations. Some years ago TomTom mixed up left and right when I was in Germany ended up crossing to the wrong bank of the Rhine and did not realise error for many miles.
The Compass tool looks interesting but not sure if it is any better than the small red icon when driving. The Online map feature comes up with "sorry no longer supported since 31-12-15" Not such a loss as it was very very slow to load unless you had 4G coverage.
Going to play again later.
Thanks again MaidenheadMerc for flagging this up would never have tried it out without your post.

That looks awesome, looks so much better that the standard Audio 20. Especially the traffic cams.

On a related note does anyone know if the SatNav/Hybrid integration only works with the Command or with the Audio 20 too? The reason I ask is I have compared a few trips with SatNav on and off with no noticeable difference.

Blue Eyes...

So - had a call from the dealer this morning. My car is scheduled for mid-July, and I almost dropped the phone with anticipation that I might get an earlier date.

No such luck.

However, she did share with me details of the changes to the C Class, and the c350e in particular, that are being introduced for cars manufactured from June onwards.

I really like the blue eyes, think they'll look great with the Brilliant Blue paint job.

So - I still need to wait another 3 months, but at least there is something new!

For legal reasons the wing badge will always be on the vehicle.

Wonder if thats so parking wardens know! LOL

Them blue headlights will be interesting to see.

Yes, I wonder if anyone knows what those legal reasons actually are? Sounds interesting

It may be part of the PHEV grant condition?

Would make sense that the government would want 'free' advertising that people are starting to drive EV cars

I think I'm pleased I take delivery next week. I like the other mods but wouldn't want the wing badge.
