Expect the allocation varies by dealer. I got dates very early on which have remained static throughout.

OK your not going to believe this but I have just received a phone call from the dealer and they have got confirmed dates to them of 23/2/2015 so thats 9 months after order date but at least i know its been conceived I just have to wait now through the pregnancy until its delivered.

Hi everyone, been lurking for a while.

Seriously considering the 350e, test drove the Outlander this morning but wasn't impressed with the build quality.

Quick question if anyone can assist, as far a company car tax goes if you are paying fuel benefit can this be dropped if you opt for a PHEV.

Also if anyone has any contact for leasing the 350e it would be much appreciated, best price I have had is £321 for the basic car on a 3 year contract @ 10,000/annum.

Thanks again

Andy

Welcome and go for the C350e, you know you want to :)

Think fuel benefit only equates to around £35 a month with the C350e, which is substantially lower than most alternatives.

As calculated from comcar.com anyway, hopefully this is correct.

I was told last week that my vehicle was built and complete but today i've been told it's still on the track as vehicles in front of mine are still awaiting parts.

Dealer has offered loan of a brand new CLS coupe until my car actually arrives so I'm happy :)

Good news then - I think I ordered same day as you and still not date but on my last enquiry I was told it should be March 2016 but possibly earlier - that would be 10 months gestation!!

First post on here but hope it's relevant. How long from placing an order in August would I expect to get in the queue for a build date. Dealer being very evasive.

Well I don't believe the supplying dealer is pretending to read the info off a screen! Build date is 9th Jan, delivery to the dealer is 28th Jan.

Car in Transit

Day 225. Spoke to Mercedes dealer on Friday. Car is out of the factory and in transit and due with dealer end of this week! :) Managed to get VIN recognised on Mercedes Me. Now to find a dealer happy to activate Connect Me. Has anyone ordering via Lex managed to get their Connect Me enabled?

I've been tracking my fuel usage via fuelly.com I'm averaging around 40mpg and 370 miles per tank...and that's with around 8 - 10 full charge ups as well. I'm filling up when the reserve light comes up/last light on the fuel gauge, but only managing to get 41-42 litres into the 50 litre tank, so the range might be a little better, but I'm not brave enough to try it out! I've only filled up 3 times so fingers crossed this might improve a little.

C350e (Mercedes-Benz C350e Plug-In Hybrid) | Fuelly (Change the units to UK)

I tried an M4 run at 70mph ish in C mode and averaged 37mpg over 100 miles, and on the return leg tried E mode and saw 39mpg so not too much in it.

40mpg is a little disappointing, I hope it improves as it approaches first service time.

If your car is scheduled for December production and you specify black ash wood trim, does production get delayed to January or is it just not an option at all? If production gets delayed, is it certain by how much? I guess others get to leap forwards also...?

Mine is (supposed to be) a November production. Added HUD for a delay of two weeks- as the dealer tells me! After having a reflective HUD for four years in a Prius, which I got used to, couldn't resist the brilliance of a projective laser multicolour one in my Merc- so added that just in time :D I hope

Very interesting to see how this is playing out. Clearly over time we seem to be saying that we expect some improvement on the figures here and in other posts due to the engines bedding in (no techy), batteries beginning to shape up as they get more use (again no techy) and driver behaviour.

I currently get on average 34-37 mpg on a motorway run and 22mpg around town in the Kaiser (E60 BMW). So with these figures in mind I am sure my position can only get better on the mpg front. Be interesting to see how the figures look after 6 months. The big variable being driver behaviour I suppose and developing a new driving style.

Little niggle I have is that Mercedes have been driven (no pun intended) by the fleet sales potential and the low low emissions impacting so positively on the BIK, as opposed to a true desire to see hybrid technology developed fully. Bit of a Trojan horse at the end of the day????

Still want one though.

Actual dealer has now contacted me with a provisional date of April

if you manage to get it working please let me know as In the same position (only want the hybrid functions) , Not sure what Lex have told you they they where very clear in their message to me (see other post)
in the mean time will chase Mercedes re the Fleet version they are apparently working on but not expecting to see that any time soon.

Now on the edge of one hundred pages dedicated to the 350e :)

BTW, I am loving mine. Sat locking and unlocking my car via my BlackBerry from my house today. Eco trip told me this morning that I had gained an 11 mile bonus on a 20 mile journey

I would love to see some photos of the estate boot in the 350e on UK delivered car if anyone can help.......are we at page 100 yet ?

Me too (and the underfloor storage ) and on a related note after a boot liner /mat any ideas as I doubt the regular one will fit due to the raised boot.

On the subject of mpg, if I can average 40 I'll be happy. My business miles are reimbursed at the government approved rates and 40mpg means I wont be subsidising my business fuel.

On another subject, I'm interested in charger etiquette. My son had his appendix out recently at University Hospital Coventry. Near the children's entrance were 2 chargers and no matter what time of day I visited there were always the same 2 cars there plugged in (a Golf GTE and a Leaf). So I guess 2 employees at the trust have plug ins /pure electric, they arrive every day at 8.30am, plug in, go to work and then leave at 5pm....surely that can't be right? What happens when a third, fourth etc employee gets a plug in?
