This is a Premium Plus estate in Brilliant Blue.
18" alloy upgrade
Grey artico (barely grey- looks almost off white- perfect!)
Black gloss

I really couldn't be happier. It's such a luxurious place to be.

I've just realised on seeing this that I haven't lifted the bonnet yet. Can't believe I've had the car a week and a half and not taken a look yet!

Great pics!!!!

Those wheels are lush. I have a question about the ambient lighting, are there lights behind the door handles on the outside and do the footwells have aluminated Mercedes plates?

Can confirm anywhere on the net thats a UK spec.

It's UK spec yes.
You can see the illuminated door sills on the interior photo at the bottom. Noticeable even in daylight. Look epic at night!
There are lights on the door handles outside, yep.

Lots of lights everywhere with the premium plus pack! The car takes on a lovely different look after dark with all the little lighting touches.

I went out in a C200d AMG Line with premium pack recently as my father in law was going to swap his E350 for a brand new one to save fuel. I was astonished with how nice it was and for a 1.6 Renault diesel it was refined.

The C350e sounds like a decent model but I have a feeling the new sweet spot of the range will be the C450.

You can your right, thats a nice touch. I have a bmw at the moment so always liked the door handles with the puddle lights so glad the car has them.

You must put up some pics when you get a chance. Think it would great to see.

Can anyone tell me if the juddering brake issue is really a problem on this vehicle?
Is it something you get used to or not as bad as reported in the reviews?

Having read through the 100+ pages on here most owners seem happy after receiving the vehicle so just wanted to check before I take the plunge.

Thanks

Chris

I've noticed it only a few times, usually it's not noticeable or much of a problem.
The brakes do take a little getting used to depending on how you drive, they can snatch a bit. The front discs (check my pic) are large!
Wouldn't surprise me if it settles down in time, i've barely done 100 miles.

I have done nearly 4000 miles in mine and the brakes are fine, because it regens at the beginning of braking it can seem a little powerful on initial bite. You soon get used to this and look for all opportunities to activate regen rather than using the brakes as this is wasted energy. I got back in to a 5 series that was brand new and felt the brakes were weak! They weren't, just not as fierce as the Mercede c350. I would like to also add that due to the weight off the batteries you get great traction. I could unstick the 5 series in damp conditions quite easily, this one does not despite the instant torque for the electric drive.

I have no concerns about the brakes. I think the criticism you have read by journalists reflects their driving style.
Owner drivers will generally drive the car in a more considerate manner which means that the disc brakes are rarely used, certainly true for me. As a consequence in the short period I have had my car I have used the disc brakes just once and yes, it was apparent that a different brake had been applied but not in a way that caused me to think that there was an issue.

Great pictures :)

Did you use a special lens or software to obtain the "fisheye" type images ?

Thanks all for the information given, it sounds like the brakes are not much to worry about just need to get used to the different types of braking which is normal with a new car anyway. I intend on driving this as an Electric vehicle on my commute as much as possible because I'll be in traffic mostly anyway. Only time I'll see 0-60 in 5.9s will be on a weekend.

I was in a C Class rental vehicle a few years ago doing around 70mph on the M1 and the car in front slammed on. The collision prevention feature really helped me avoid hitting the vehicle in front but the guy behind me wasn't so lucky in his Octavia. Luckily not a major accident but this is the main reason I am purchasing a Mercedes so wanted to ensure safety was just as good with having kids in the car.

Thanks! Yeah, of sorts- that was with a GoPro Hero 4. It's brilliant for that sort of thing, plus you can have some artistic fun with it too!

Are you conscious of the higher "kerbing" risk with those low profile tyres ?

Um- I've had 18" wheels with skinny tyres for years so always been conscious. So in answer to that question, no more conscious than previously!

I would have been happy with the 17" standard wheels, especially from a BIK perspective- but I wanted the Premium Plus pack so had to have it.
The wheels do look lovely though, nice shape and a subtle shade of grey ;)

What I will say is despite the skinny profile to the tyres- it's still a very comfortable car. It doesn't crash over bumps like previous cars I've had with similar wheels/tyres. Guess that's the air suspension doing its thing. I wouldn't honestly want or need it any softer. Can always raise the suspension with the button on the console if you're going down a rough road or track.

I had forgotten all about the ability one has to raise the suspension, back to the manual :D

Have to say I was always kerbing my wheels on previous car with 19" low profile and am glad to say that to date I have avoided it on my 17" wheels.

I am very jealous of those tyres!

I have the same 18" wheels but it came with Continental 225/45 tyres fitted on the front. I cant make out from your picture what yours are?
