C350e anyone considering one?

I am very jealous of those tyres!

I have the same 18" wheels but it came with Continental 225/45 tyres fitted on the front. I cant make out from your picture what yours are?

They're Bridgestone Potenza's, 225/45 at the front.
The picture earlier in the thread makes them look a lot skinnier than they are, that's the wideangle lens affect for you!

Had a very nice chap from Chargemaster install a box on the side of my garage today, now all I need is the vehicle to plug it into :)

Was originally forecast for August delivery and now they are saying 4th December but I've had so many delivery promises broken that I have no faith.

At least still have their CLS they gave me on loan which is something.

Appreciate all of the updates and photos you lucky owners are uploading.

Auto locking

Hi chaps

My wife is panicking aboutgetting car jacked. Can you set the doors to auto lock once you get in the c350e. I lnow you can lock them once your in the car. But it is just in case the wife forgets to lock them.

Yes you can,:bannana: along with lots of other personalisation!! Many hours to spend playing with all the features, ambient lighting, settings upon settings!!

I read in the book as well about a panic feature on the key but haven't tried it yet so it may not be standard on the UK models.

Cheers

Not a picture that you would normally expect after requesting more but one that might interest you and others.
Download the App and you will feel a little closer to us lucky ones with our cars.
Once downloaded you will be able to monitor just how far you can travel on an electric charge, not as far as you might think :(
Try it out on your present car just for fun or use it as a first class aid to expense claims and more.
It is a worthwhile app in any event and for free why wouldn't you ?

Thanks.
It's UK spec yes.
You can see the illuminated door sills on the interior photo at the bottom. Noticeable even in daylight. Look epic at night!
There are lights on the door handles outside, yep.

Lots of lights everywhere with the premium plus pack! The car takes on a lovely different look after dark with all the little lighting touches.

Have you also noticed, not that would if you have keyless, but when you unlock manually the day runners light up blue on the front for a couple of seconds, and with it in brill blue it looks awesome. I did wonder if it was linked to the ambient colour but changed it to solor and tried again but they stayed blue. The puddle lights form the mirrors and door handles look great as do the door sills. The ambient lighting inside is lovely.

They do look great. That particular feature is part of the led intelligent lighting system. Not standard unfortunately.

I also think that as part of the ILS the rear led lights have a damper feature depending on the light levels.

Haven't had mine too long but have had 50/50 success with the ILS, they look great, very bright but often get an error msg saying deactivated due to weather conditions!! This is of course fine, however you do get used to leaving it in the auto setting!

Didn't know about the rear lights, or to be fair the front ones did that due to the ILS!!

Looks great though when all lit up.

ILS ? Instrument Landing System! Surely can't be that :)

Aww no!! I've seen this on some promotional video's but didn't realise it was part of ILS. It looks so good when it comes on in blue before changing to white. I don't have ILS on my car so will not get this when it arrives.
Damn! :(:(:(:(:(:(:(

Mine look the same and I don't have ILS?
They're not blue exactly, more a blue tinged white that soon whitens up. But they look the same as the photos posted?

Just gone out and checked and they do- think it's just the LEDs warming up rather than a gimmick.
I DON'T have ILS- just standard.

I say just standard, because the lights are awesome, so bright.
I've had ILS xenons on in the past, and the steering function was brilliant- but i actually think the spread of light on these LEDs are even better, to the point that you almost don't need the steering function. I'd need to try the new ILS out of course to actually justify that... Safe to say- I'm happy anyway.

Intelligent Light System
Now I, and others know what ILS is :)

Now I have that on my car and I have never used it, haven't been out after dark. Go figure as they say:)

Its part of the coming home function in the options. Goes blue at you first. I think this might be them on you tube. Also shows inside ambient lighting.

Fair doos- that's helpful. No, mine doesn't do that!
The effect is similar but goes white much much quicker, and less blue from first on. Still looks nice, just not AS nice ;)

I've ILS on my loan CLS and it's marvellous, really wishing I'd gone for it on my C350e now.

To see it illuminate both sides of the road ahead with a gap where the car in front is is marvellous.

The lights move around on dark roads and are truly awesome.

Clearly the LED lights themselves are really powerful though and I do miss the CLS having the ability to manually switch to high beam.

Still ILS for the relatively small outlay is something to be seen to be appreciated.

Sorry i thought i had put what i meant by ILS. Interestingly in that video the door handles on tje outside so not have lights on them. It was confirmed on here a few days ago that they do in the UK. Do you think you can turn them on or off via the option button!???

Fair enough, you have persuaded me to venture out after dark :)
