C350e anyone considering one?

Thanks for the Feedback sound really good.

I am looking forward to getting mine. A number of my Colleagues are keen to see mine as its the first of its kind in the company, but many others interested.

What sort you mileage are getting from the batteries, and what MPG are you getting using the engine?
Same here - first in the company but several others have theirs on order and a few others now considering getting one!

The pure electric range is around 15miles realistically, although it depends on terrain, speed etc. For a 25 mile each way commute, the engine is off for around half of that overall (as I charge up each night) and I'm averaging 50mpg across the journey in / home. If I could charge at work I'd probably get around 70mpg overall.

I did have fun the other day. I took the country roads home and put it in Sport+ mode most of the way back and achieved 24mpg.. I could of got that lower with a bit more overtaking but then equally I could of achieved a much better mpg if I hadn't had as much fun!!

I have had a C350e Premium Plus Estate Polar White, 18" Alloys, Privacy Glass, Tow Bar, LED ILS, 360 Deg Camera on order since May 2015. Delivery originally forecast for Sept, then delayed to Oct and finally 7 December. Just had contact from the lease car company informing that the car is in dealer stock and will be delivered 27 November.

Can anyone give feedback on the C350e Estate.

There's hope for me then. I am getting nervous that my projected delivery date is getting near (14th December, on order since the middle of May) and I've had no updates regarding build slot etc. I've told myself that it will probably come next year, so it will be a nice Xmas pressie if it arrives on time.

Looks identical to the spec I ordered, are you certain they delivered to the correct location?

Anticipation!

Received my VIN this morning :p Delivery date in 21 days
Does anyone know when I can register with Mercedes Me portal?

:bannana:

Anyone can register but you need some extra details to allocate the car to you. I think it's just the VIN. Just go and have a look / play.

The dealer gave me my VIN and for ages I was trying to assign the vehicle to myself and it said that the VIN wasn't a MB one which was disappointing but since my vehicle left the factory yesterday the VIN was recognised and I linked it to my ME account.

Still waiting for the dealer to finish the process which I think they do when they can assign a reg number, hopefully Monday in my case.

Thanks- you are right. I get the same messages when I try!
It makes sense though because the car is not born yet and doesn't have much of an identity . It must be my impatience :o

Asked for a set of beige floor matts from the dealer to match the beige leather and carpet.

At least you are making progress Eagle, your new baby will soon arrive :)

Finders keepers.:D

Have to say first impression I am very impressed.

Will post more pics tomorrow

Hehe - i also have a 2 / 3 mile commute and work have just fitted electric chargers (Which they may charge us for use) - however, as i have no driveway, this will be useful either way in my battle to not use petrol mon-fri :)

Depends where you live but some councils are happy to install a government subsidised charging point in the street outside your home, protected area, to enable you to charge the car.
Or you might be able to do as I have and install a Rolec Pod near to my front door and then run the cable over the pavement. Works for me and as a result for most journeys I am on electric.

I would give the dealer a call and get them to agree that the car's system is activated. They will do it when asked but I suspect that it is not on the PDI Technicians to do list. I had to ask for it to be done twice !

Unfortunately no charge points yet (working on it) but the phevs seem to group together in the carpark

Think I need to have words with our UK Facilities Manager about installing some charging points at offices. Oh... wait... that's me and the quote is due next week :thumb::p

How would you manage the pods when eventually so many will want to charge their car ? How many pods will you recommend funding ?
I foresee chaotic scenes in the car park, fights breaking out in order to use the limited facilities

Thanks 350e :-) You mentioned the PDI- they say it involves a 70 points check and all that. Does the technician have to drive the car in all modes and roads? I also read somewhere here that wax and polish are involved! Is this correct? If the vehicle is transported on one of those big multi load lorries, does it need more than a good wash to clean it off any possible dirt and debris?

I will have to ask the dealer for clarification but my question is that if the terms of PDI are standard all over the country and defined by MB or is it open to interpretation?

I'm sure the PDI is strictly adhered to across all dealerships and I would not be concerned on that score. I don't know what it involves in detail but I am sure you will be pleased with the handover presentation, even if it might go on for longer than you would wish.
I got the impression that the ConnectMe system is activated via the Sales department, they may need to advise another cdepartment. I just remember that it was not done at the outset by the dealer and after speaking to Mercedes HO. They told me that they could do it if necessary, they had access to the main system, but chose to speak with the dealer which resulted in a satisfactory outcome.
