C350e anyone considering one?

I'm picking my vehicle up on Friday and can't bloody wait!

Ordered in June 350eWaiting, it was already on order by the dealer though and unallocated.

Mine was ordered mid April and delivered early October.

When did you order, for comparison and total hopefulness?

I placed my order mid May.
Original date was 6th Nov
Then pushed back to end Jan
Then brought forward to 31st Dec
Then got a call on Friday saying it was ready!

Hope other people get the good news soon.

One of my mates has ordered his last week and been told 1st May.

Ordered mine beginning of July, saloon, std spec, no extras. Originally told March/April delivery.

Not heard a dicky since, but with all these positive tales, I'm seriously hoping I get one of these "Guess what? it's ready" calls soon!

Ordered mine mid July, was told March then brought forward to Jan 18th. Just still hopeful for a this year delivery.

I ordered mine direct from Mercedes in Bradford 1st May, but ordered wasn't processed until mid May, Last update, was for delivery beginning of March. I wonder if mine will get pulled forward

Mine was a company car lease, don't know if that makes any difference. Also an estate, which I think are ordered less?

Mine was Leaseplan, ordered April, due late September and then got it in November.

All Mercedes will see is a sold order, the registration process is done at the dealer so it shouldn't make any difference to your order.

I think some of the delays early on were parts related so hopefully the lead time should be more realistic now and there shouldn't be too many getting delayed.

It will be worth the wait. I have the estate and its great. You do miss out on some height in the boot and not as much storage but the rest of the car is perfect. I ordered mine blind back in April but love it.

The tow bar is also brilliant, completely hidden from view normally, a button on the tailgate releases it when needed and it simply drops down from behind the bumper. The electric socket is built into the towbar itself making a really neat solution!

Its much better than a fixed tow bar. But for the same money (£750.00) BMW offers a motorised tow bar:

Shame the 3 Series isn't as stylish and beautiful as the New C Class.

Just got this email this morning from the leasing company. Interesting info regarding lead times as I've not even ordered yet.

Good Morning Ant,

Yes the premium plus pack which is included in the quote includes the upgraded 18” alloys on the Estate 350e. The quote isn’t supposed to included metallic paint, however I can see that we are advertising this with so I will include in the price for you as that is how we are advertising it.

We have been told by Mercedes that the cars will be deliverable for mid February but we always like to be cautious so tend to add a few weeks on to the lead times when we tell customer’s so end of March will be fine.

Many thanks

Ant.

strange half post.....
I currently have an A6 estate so it was always going to be a massive loss of space, thankfully my daughter is old enough now to not need all the pushchair, travel cot etc etc.!

Plus how often do you actually need to fully load the boot anyway?

Once a year! That's why I ordered with the Towbar!

My post was not a criticism. I was just pointing out that BMW motorised tow bar is a nice bit of kit for the same money.

C Class is still my fav.

Ant. :D

Hi folks I'm a newbie here and having ordered a C350e saloon back in May I'm hoping the delivery in January will be a reality after reading some of the positive posts on here.

However I have a query relating to the 'Connect Me' app after finding out yesterday that the lease company used by my companies fleet department has 'opted out' of using the connected services.

I've challenged this with them (Lex Autolease) and queried which services if any will still be available. The emergency response facility and live traffic updates are important to me as a driver covering a lot of business miles and I'm informed by Lex that these are not dependant on Connect Me.

After reading parts of this thread it sounds like the range of the batteries is drastically reduced by not using the pre-entry heat facility with the car plugged in, which I understood was programmed through the app.

What I'm querying then is whether you can programme this in the car directly without doing it through the Connect Me app? If so I'm not too fussed about them opting out of the app being registered but if it can't be accessed without the app I'll be making some noise about the effective economy of a hybrid car not being used properly with the knock on effect of cost of fuel.

Any advice gratefully appreciated.

Steve

Wouldn't matter if it is dependent on theConnect Me App. You would be able to overcome the problem by perhaps introducing a timer between the Charging Pod and the consumer unit  Would cost an hours electrician time but worth it if it is a major issue for you.

Hi and welcome
Yes you can program direct via the car / set it to activate off the key fob when you unlock the car or Mr current methods flick the switch on the dash lock the car back up and go in for a coffee / go and deice my wife's car.
I am also with lex and can confirm the traffic updates work and lex have left the Emergency call function on (as its to be law from next year I believe)
