C350e anyone considering one?

I have also asked them to activate the services. When you log on you only have to agree to certain parts of the connected services. Lex did like the tracking and servicing bit. I have only agreed to the heating/ cooling and charge state etc. I hope they will activate as requested as i will not be using the bits that they are worried about. I will post an update when I get it back Friday re the outside temp gauge.

Interesting, Lex specifically advised me it was the Servicing and Tracking parts that they didn't like!

I have everything enabled now, it seems pointless not to!

I've had confirmation form the dealer that they have had the approval from the finance company to activate the service. (My company ->Alphabet ->Grosvenor ->Dealer). Maybe you could tell Lex that their competitors are allowing it!

I ordered my c350e saloon premium plus back in June via lex - my delivery date is 27th Jan - Trying to push it to 1st March now - might as well get the new 16 plate..

Thats bad. Im being told 20th March delivery from an order a week ago. So 4 1/2 months for mine. I have a build date of the 1st March.

First 150 miles

My first week and a bit has all been short commutes to work and back plus some school runs and dads taxi trips. I have been topping up charge every night and sometimes in between and currently showing 99.9 mpg. Anyone managed to get more than that? I'm enjoying the quiet, relaxing ride and the great equipment. Pre-heat favorite tech so far, although setting it up without an app is more faff than I would expect, having to go into both the trip menu and the central screen menu. Other niggles so far are 1. Despite all the lovely lighting, no light in the electric plug socket when connecting up at night 2. Seat heating buttons on the doors are a pain when dropping off kids as tricky to stretch over to turn off their seat after they get out. I know I'm being picky but overall, great. Not really had a read of the book yet so I expect I'm missing something but when using keyless go, should the car lock itself when you walk away?

Have had mine for almost 1 mnth now. That is, should have taken delivery nov 5, official reg date is Nov 9, got it with new gearbox nov 20th. Took it out on a long trip 22nd, and ~24 miles into the drive the yellow engine light popped up in the display.. Turned around and parked the car at the dealer... Just a little ****** off!!
They downloaded error codes and updated/reset some software and all seemed good. Got it back last Tuesday... Then Friday they called me saying Germany had advised to replace a thermostat...! Back again monday and got it back yesterday. Hope this is it and all good from here on... It is a fantastic driving machine when it works!!!

Anyway, when I picked it up, I was told that the decision to replace the thermostat was based on other messages received from cars around the world. Just a heads up in case anyone get same warning sign...

Evening all, was nice to see my first C350e today charging at a service station on the M40. Still seems strange that this is the first time I have seen the car I ordered months ago.

Running a few days late advised today - not at dealer until next week currently in transit but chassis number and registration number created so it's been built.

Few more days to go than I first thought but closer each day. Never waited this long and it's been what feels like an eternity coming but can almost hear the Burmeister and feel the heat from the front seats.

No surprise ongoing discussion with lease company (Automotive) about Connect Me provisions. Will probably leave it until I take delivery myself and speak direct.

NHS fleet solutions are the middle men in this equation and have been very helpful.

Glad you are enjoying your 350e
I think you will not see better than 99.99 mpg because I think that is as far as the meter will go.
Try turning the engine off to reset the seat heating, it may be off on restart.

I have exhausted the internet resources for the C350e. There should be more videos by now i think. Come on people. Get posting videos!

Need to find out more about the COMMAND online though. Ive not really looked into that at all and its capabilities.

Internet connectivity! What am I doing wrongly?

I have been intrigued by all the options on the Comand screen, Mercedes Apps, Mercedes web site, Web and so on but every time I have tried I get the message below. My iPhone flashes a message concerning personal hotspot but I don't have a clue as to what that indicates or indeed what I need to do.
Has anyone actually succeeded using any of the available features ?

Ah, some mobile networks like you to pay extra to be able to tether the data connection, which is essentially what you are doing here.

Best to check with the provider to see if that is the case.
