Don't think it's signal as the web app shows the pre entry time and gives me data on charge status. Might have to revert to activate now button.

Is it enabled in the car?

I cannot get it to work on mine using the web app. What I find more annoying though is the fact that the functionality is missing from the iPhone app. I left that one with the dealer to research.

To get it to work from the web, you have to allow permission in the car first. I can't remember the exact terminology but if you go into the main HVAC menu in the car (centre button) you will find the screen you want.

I can activate it immediately. Is it a different setting to activate by time?

Hey, Bobby finally managed to get hold of one!

Just goes to show how hard it is to review a car when you've only had it for a short while and it's full of tech. 25 miles on electric - ho, ho, ho!

I am going to have to concentrate on the haptic accelerator - I can't say I've noticed it yet.

For a minute I thought there was a facelift with a new improved range. Put it in eco, the haptic will nag the hell out of your foot prompting you to turn it off ;)

Source London changing their charging structure to £4/month + 3.6p/minute from the end of the year. I assume that means it's now significantly cheaper to charge at home!

So that now appears to be EcoTricity AND SourceLondon who have got people excited about their networks.
I appreciate that it is only £4.00 to charge for a couple of hours AND that includes parking, however in the past couple of weeks I have struggled to find charging points and those that I have, haven't been working.

Ikea is eco tricity so that's not worth it (although I would just plug the cable in so I can park there!!!).

I was miffed having bothered to get an Ecotricity card to find that I only got 3 charges on the motorway network before they introduced 'charge for charging' catchy little strap line that with a certain irony I feel. Now all I see is empty bays as I look out drinking my coffee. Anyhow, although I haven't tried, my understanding is that the 13/16 amp charge points at all IKEA's remain free of charge, so worth giving it a go.

I don't think they are. This is on the Ikea website:

"We understand that for Ecotricity to continue to invest in Electric Vehicle Charging technology and infrastructure, they have made the decision to start charging all customers for the electricity used at their charging points across the country, including those located on IKEA sites. We’re currently in the process of investigating with Ecotricity how we can best support our electric vehicle driving customers going forward. We’ll update you as soon as we have something further to share."

I have a question about the pre-entry climate control warm up.

I've been using it the last couple of days and whilst it's very good, it takes quite a bit of juice out of my charge. My car is plugged in whilst this is happening, so I had hoped there wouldn't be much difference. This morning it was 5 degrees and my charge was down to 86% before I set off.

Has anyone found a sweet spot where the car is warmed up, but the charge is not impacted so badly? e.g. setting the departure time ten minutes earlier than you actually want?

Yes - as you suggest. I activate mine about 15mins before I want to leave. I have noticed that the pre-warm seems to switch off the charging! Once the pre-warm cycle is over (about 10mins) it goes back to charging (green light at socket).

I tend not to have my heating or aircon on during the day, so when it comes to pre-heating am I right in thinking that it chooses the last setting, or is it the last temperature??
