That's really poor. So before you go out you will have to login to a PC. Set it up then go out on a daily basis.

Sadly this is like so many things. This is my first MB and I love it. However there are many features which are non existent or take too many button presses to get to when compared to my 12 plate 3 series.

Speed dial is a particular niggle for me. I could program 8 buttons on the BMW to select phone no's or radio stations with 1 touch. on the MB its a pain in the ar5e.

It should have been thought out through basic functional testing before release.

Maybe they may upgrade the app.

To be honest if i move on from work I'll probably buy a clio 200 or Megane sport. So wont complain then about the app or airmatic suspension !

I use my phone. It's not that bad. You could save this page as a bookmark and it would only take a few seconds:

No. You have the webapp on your phone "desktop" as a shortcut, so it works like an app. I never use the app app.

I agree about the BMW 1-8 buttons. Such a useful feature.
Have you had a go with voice command? That works well. "Call Home" etc.

My BMW only had 8 buttons. Their "business audio" system was a thing of minimal features. [emoji23]

Until recently Merc's had the same arrangement of 9 buttons. When I moved to the new set up I thought it really retrograde to lose the old system - then I came across the centre 'button' on the base of the 'touch pad' - irrespective of which screen you are in (including Sat Nav), your radio presets come up along the bottom of the screen and you swipe right or left to select. The info includes the radio prog info. Apologies if you have already found this and still prefer the old system.

I have put often used numbers in 'favourites.

Initially, all seemed a bit cumbersome but once I got used to it I actually prefer it !!

Something I posted on the Fully Charged video as there is a lot of EV owning haters.....though people might be interested in it here too.....

"My 40 mile round trip commute uses around 1.8 litres of petrol and 8.5kw of electricity so costs around £3.45. I don't pay for £0.70 of said electric though (work charge point) My 1.6 diesel Civic which I averaged 61mpg in long term cost around £4 total. The Merc is much faster (when needed) and a much nicer place to be. Hope this info is helpful :)"

Fuel cost about £2.05
Charge at work £0.00 (£0.70 actual cost)
Charge at home £0.70
Total cost for me £2.75
Full Total cost £3.45

So is still cheaper than a 1.6 diesel and much nicer. Charging at home is a bit of an effort as I don't have a charge point, i've been hoiking the charge out early morning to do pre-climate to help combat the big reduction in electric since it's started to get hold, i'm expecting it to run out after about 5 miles once it's at freezing point!

Thanks for the help. When I do this I still have to scroll through every available radio station. I only listen to two! Is it possible that I can just get these two to appear?

You don't have to swipe. I touch that button but then use the scroll wheel to actually select the station/song I want.

I agree with you - it parks at crazy speeds but it DOES brake! I have only trusted it with parallel parking. It can do bay parking but I was even more alarmed at its approach and did put the brakes on and do it myself.

any chance of a video of it braking ? Scared the crap out of me. There's a message in the dash that tells you to apply the brake. Are you saying that if you ignore that it will brake anyway ?

That's what I'm trying to avoid doing. I don't want to scroll through Angry FM and Vegetarian Network. I just want my two presets. Like on a pushbutton radio from 1968.

Mine does that, I've got maybe 8 presets, it then scrolls through these. I think its in the radio setting somewhere, "only show saved stations" or similar?
It works the same as if you have the radio station screen showing

When I used it to reverse park - it braked itself, it did go at ridiculous speed.

It sort of reversed in in 2 stages the first stage it reversed and then turned, as it went back towards the other car it applied the brake itself then said put it in to drive, it went forward, then said put it in reverse-,,, at this point it went right back into the space at ridiculous speed and I couldn't cope and threw the brakes on myself. It was at this point my blood pressure and stress levels where through teh roof. My passenger was laughing so much....

I am going to a MB showroom on Friday and going to ask them to demonstrate the auto parkig to my wife and I. Will ask abou tthe braking - but it deffo does brake.

It is a trust issue - I have trust issues......

Hello,

Is anyone aware of a way to set the pre-entry climate control for specific days? For example, for a certain time on weekdays?

Thanks

I think you can only do it one day at a time.
Daft really because many people leave at the same time each morning so a Monday to Friday setting would be useful.
