C350e owners club

Haven't been able to get the auto heating working in the mornings, has anyone had any luck with this?? Thank you.

Guess I'll be making a call next week to do the same then!

Any other changes at the same time, or is it just the temperature display?

Try pressing the Service button in your car and ask for them to arrange it.
I am going to, just for the hell of it :D

Good plan!
Not tonight as it's windy and I'm comfortable. Let me know how you get on...

I didn't think it was working until I realised that you have to ensure the temp is set high enough when you leave the car - no problem this weather though. You can also select whether both seats heat or just the drivers.

Mine didn't work if it wasn't charged or plugged in.

I use the 'app / website' rather than in car by setting the departure time. I stay in the 'app' until it confirms that the last connection time was say 1 minute. The photo shows I last connected 1 day ago - it's this that has to confirm you have made a recent connection. Good luck

can we have a picture of the temp guage please to see which screen it is on? Thank you

It apears in the trip screen behind the steering wheel but only when displaying total miles. It is in the bottom right hand corner.

I have tried several times using a Blackberry Z10 and an iPhone 6 via o2 and have failed to link up with car apart from the phone itself. Spoke to Mercedes and got the answer that the issue was one that o2 had and we're dealing with it. I'm not holding my breath on that though. If anyone can help I would be glad of it.
I've managed to get it tethered with an iPhone connected via Bluetooth. But needed the phone's "personal hotspot" switched on for it to work.

same here. I ordered mine in Mid June 15, being told mid Feb 16. It will be 6 months on Friday and it has crawled by!

Seems a bit random re order to delivery times to me. I ordered end of April and am told it's due to the dealer 14th Dec.. Pretty frustrating to see cars ordered 2 - 3 weeks after mine to be landing when I am still 2 weeks off.

The dealer gave me a load of spiel about commission numbers and additional batches being released and not being first in first out so some orders come in earlier. Not sure how true it is but either way feels pretty unfair.

For those equally frustrated that the 350e doesn't have an external temperature gauge, I finally have some news. 4 weeks ago the car went back to the dealer as they also couldn't understand why such a basic feature had been excluded from what seems to be UK cars only. Yesterday I received the news that there is now a software update for the car so that we can see the temperature.
The car is booked to go back in for the software update on the 7th Dec, so I will keep you posted. At the moment the dealer doesn't know where it will appear on the dash, I'm hoping in place of the Kph on the bottom left, but we will have to wait and see.
When it is done and I have more detail I will post a photo, armed with this photo you can then use this to approach your dealers to get the software update too.
This is potentially great news as I have found it so daft that this basic feature has been omitted.

Just picked the car up from the dealer...... it now shows the external temperature, happy days!!!!
Hats off the MB, they listened to our feedback and sorted it out (though in truth it should have been there from the start).
It appears on the main mileage screen.

First I want to thank you all for this tread, in my hunt for the right level of packets this was most helpful.
I’ve ordered close to everything, and really look forward to mid February when its due for delivery
I have ordered the COMMAND Online also, Anyone got some experience with this yet?
Also ordered the speed sign reader, and hopefully i could assist on most questions regarding, distronic, parktronic, memory package, HUD and such.

These look an attractive proposition I'll be interested to hear the real world MPG as these wouldn't be bad for the girls at work company cars :)

Lol no I'm serious! Lol

We have an ML250, VW Tiguan and C250cdi coupe on fleet at the minute. Be nice to tidy them into all MB and lower their tax liability.

Whoops. Sorry Stu. I thought you were being sarcastic implying the C350e was a 'girlie' car cause you have a brute of a C63. :bannana:

I must confess, I'm quite liking the C350e TBH. I Just think it's a shame they can't be ordered in AMG-Line guise. Nicer wheels, body kit and a few interior bits than Sport trim.

As for real world MPG the reality is not great. Seems that most here are getting less MPG than standard diesels. Shame really.

Yes not being able to get AMG line would be a huge put off for me. Bit silly as I'm sure that's what 90% of people would spec.

Nice company cars, what sort of business do you own?

OK. got a question for any/all C350e owners.

In theory. I have a C350e. I charge it up every night in my garage. Drive 10 miles to work every day by road (not motorway) charge it all day at work. Then drive 10 miles home and repeat the cycle the next day.

Would I ever use any petrol?

I understand I'd not be able to use the power for 0-60 runs. I'm talking careful driving.

Just curious.
