So next... we're working on suspension and Braking components.
whilst the stock 360mm front/ 330mm rear discs are good for road use and the occasional track day, they're not amazing, the obvious upgrade option is that from the Black series.
390mm front discs, 360mm rear discs, Braided hoses and better fluid.
Starting with the fronts.
To upgrade them you only need to change the caliper mounts and discs only as the calipers are the same.
First up removing the calipers and discs, very simple job, with only 2 caliper bolts and the locating disc screw.
Once removed, you then need to remove the existing 360mm carrier and replace it with the 390mm.
Side by side, you can see the difference, these are available from MB directly or Epyteck.
Removing the old carrier is simply enough with some elbow grease, lots or groaning and sockets.
Once installed, a good clean around the hubs and behind the dust guard before fitting the new 390mm 2 piece Rotors.
Then just for good measure.. replace the rubber Hoses with steel Braided ones., not only will they give you better feel through the Pedal, they'll also be getting on a little so it worth the change.
Fronts now complete, wheels back on.
Re fitting the wheel, checking for clearance of the balance weights..
The pic may not show, its only about 5mm of clearance between the weights and the wheel.
.
Time to brake these in....
