Yes, got to say enjoyed my time with the C63, but the cost of ownership was a little high. Got to say the R IS SO MUCH MORE. But enjoy your time with the C63.Interesting, I went from an R (back) to a C63Did it come from Lawton Brook?

The R does everything you could ask of a car , and does it very very well , BUT, for me it had zero personality and left me totally cold as a driving experience. The DSG box is about as good as you can get , hope yours is DSG , manuals appear to eat the clutch on the R.[/QU
I can understand that, i came from a Porsche to the C63 and the feeling was the same. My R is fully loaded with dsg now if this R had a V8 UP FRONT
The “Soundokator” drove me nuts as did the “DSG F@##s”Unless you are sure of the history of the car it’s very hard to tell if it’s been mapped as everyone seams to stick a tuning box on it to get an extra 50bhp for “free” then take it off for service , resale etc.
Why did you part ex?Well tks for the good advice, pleased i got it from new. The tech is so much more, usable everyday and as fast as i need. ENJOY your time with C63 and the cost of ownership. Hope you have deep pockets lol
why did i part x, the C63 has a great engine plus a nice sound track, but apart from that the cost of ownership is just to high and the C63 is feeling and looking old. Nice car and pleased i had one,but for the same money there,s so much more. just have a test drive in a new car,and try for yourself. Why did you part ex?

I didn't buy a 507 (twice..!) because it looked modern (it's clearly an older shape, although I don't think it looks dated)… It does have a lot more presence than any modern hatchback does though... And when it comes past you it sounds like thunder not a vacuum![]()
Hi Andy, I’m interested but might not be in my 507 estate as looking into storage options at the moment. So folk we know why we’re driving 507s, how about seeing some together?
I’ve floated the idea of a “507 meet-up” (everyone else is welcome to join in) previously and only managed to get Yex and a guy from the “Official” MB club to turn up, along with lots of other Mercs. I’ve booked parking at The British Motor Museum, Gaydon, for Sunday 7 June which is a good central location for a lot of people. I know whatever date is chosen won’t suit everyone but getting dedicated parking at Gaydon needs sorting early as they get very busy in the summer. It would be great to get some of the other C Class AMGs ,36, 43, 63 etc together too.
Let’s see who’s interested on here first then I’ll create thread on the “Events” Forum.

I should be ok for that but need to check with my social secretary (aka wife) first. So folk we know why we’re driving 507s, how about seeing some together?
