C63 507 Model Register

Thanks for the heads up, they are around 30-40 cheaper respectively, so probably don't justify the extra miles and fuel usage but still worth a wave under the noses of Hughes to see if they will shave anything off

How easy is it to replace the C63 air filters by chance? Is this something you could do yourself fairly easily?
Air filters are very easy to replace but if you're taking it in for service then might as well let the garage do them. On takes 10 mins.

Atf is due at 3 years/31k miles whichever comes first.

Yes air filters are very easy to Diy.

Hi guys,

Wasn't sure if this was the relevant thread, but it is 507 related and would appreciate a sense check.

- B service due on my 507, I want to keep it with a full MBSH so taking it to my local dealer (Hughes Beaconsfield)
- Around 16,000 miles on the clock so nothing major due in terms of service (I was hesitating getting the MCT oil changed as its a 14 plate - thoughts on this?)
- Current cost of this is £660.55 (weirdly enough when I checked this cost a month ago it was about £100 cheaper without the added extras mentioned, all of a sudden they have now appeared?!?!) which is broken down as follows:

£605.70 B service cost (added extra of £83.88 for air filter element replacement!!! and £32.40 to clean and lubricate the pano roof guide mechanism)
£54.85 for MOT (this is more just ease of service and getting it all done in the same place on the same day)

I will use the Mercedes OEM oil to help bring down the cost as most of us do, but looking at the air filter replacements these are about £35 from Merc Newcastle an are relatively easy to fit?

I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the above

Ta
Would be good to put your name against one of the cars on the list. If you could reply with Reg date, colour and body style then I should be able to work out which one is yours without you needing to post up the Reg. Thanks, Phil

Lakeside is £100 cheaper then Dartford for my 507.

That sounds about right, Dartford is owned by Mb, Lakeside is a franchise and always better value.

Lurker here, posting for the first time. Discovered this (absolutely great) forum a few months ago but just listening and learning. As a 507 coupe owner whose local MB dealer is also Hughes of Beaconsfield, I would be interested to see how you get on Widowmaker507. I have a two year service plan paid monthly and will be using Hughes I hope later in the year for the first of those services. Looking at price variances at dealers and real risk of price inflation over 24 months I thought £552 a year wasn’t too bad and just took some price increase risk and potential haggling and hassle off the table. It also helps me avoid lumpy spend later. Am sure quite a few quid can be saved by negotiating every time and shopping around but as someone said, driving a fair few miles away and back to a further away dealer has its own cost in one of these! If someone can show the average across A and B services at 5/6 years old is much cheaper when paid for at each service I might change tack when the plan is up (but then again the easy life can be appealing!). We have two other (non-AMG) MBs and the service plans on those have saved us a bit of money over the years I am pretty sure when I heard what a neighbour paid for a v similar model service ad hoc.

Anyway, great forum. Well done all.

Driver side illuminating amg logo stopped working last night anyone have any recommendations to try and fix myself any help greatly appreciated as it’s super annoying thanks

@lucinius would be good to know which 507 you own. Would you mind posting up the colour and registration date of your coupe so I can add your details to the list? Thanks, Phil

Sure Phil. Prefer to keep the reg plate private but the reg date was 20/8/2014 and it’s obsidian black.

@lucinius it would appear your car is not on the 507 register. I can't pm you to find out more details on this forum as you don't have sufficient posts. Are you on FB so we could message there? Otherwise I could briefly post up my email address for you.

Hi Guys!

I'm after some parts for my 507 saloon if anyone are selling.

507 wheels in black (I have messaged andy about them but may have sold)

Porcelain white with Black alcantara front bucket seats.

I am also selling my current 507 wheels. They are in need of a refurb so I am willing to sell at a good price if I can source my replacements.

My black 507 alloys are still for sale , you don’t have enough posts to be able to use private mail yet, you can contact me via this AMG C63 Edition 507 alloy wheels | in Beverley, East Yorkshire | Gumtree

I might be interested in a swap or purchase of your alloys if they are Himalaya Grey ;)

Ok. Glad to be adding one more 507 to your list! I am not on FB but happy to email you offline if you are ok to pop it up briefly.

Hi Lurker - this service is book in for Friday this week so I will let you know about any more information I can uncover. But I am of the same notion as you, the weighing up of the service care plan versus doing it as and when is always in the back of my mind. For me the benefit of supplying the oil [MB Beaconsfield charge £120] always helps bringing the cost down. The cost for the B service came to £548.35 (inc. MOT and Cleaning of panoramic roof) this time

Luckily the spark plugs were done before I owned the vehicle and the ATF will most likely be done by the next owner as very rarely use the car (it's only covered a couple of hundred glorious miles this year)

The service from MB beaconsfield with regards to booking the service, now owned by Vertu not Hughes, has been frankly awful - all calls are dealt with my a central call central and there is a massive discord between the call centre and the actual garage.
