Thanks yex, I can’t seem to start a conversation with Rocky, I think it is because I don’t have enough posts yet.
I will try PM you

Steve,
Use the reach of the forum...
Why not at least post details like age, mileage, condition, spec, asking price, etc on here...?
If nothing else it’ll start some traffic that’ll get up up to 30 posts !!

Also got full Mercedes printout of all works carried out services ect on the car from new and tracker fitted.

Sounds fabulous Steve!

I have had a few hot hatches, Lotus Exige S then a CLA45 shooting Brake- I had a new CLA45S on order but changed my mind at £61k.
Acquired a Golf GTD for daily and dog duties so thought I’d scratch that big V8 itch!
Can’t wait to collect- Watched the market for months on several options/ M6 GC, Alfa Romeo Guilia, newer C63 but when I saw this pop up I went asap, paid full price there and then.
It is totally mint- stunning...that sound!
Have added PPF to it @£1500 and they have put a new MoT on it & 4 new contis without me asking- unbelievable service, just what you’d hope for but rarely get tbh.
Will be used a hell of a lot more unfortunately/fortunately as these big beautiful engines aren’t here for long!
Cheers chaps!
Matt

Hi everyone

If anyone is selling or thinking of selling a 507 saloon please pm me.
Not white or red, low miles, full MBSH.
Last but not least no mods :)

Many thanks

I know it's not a 507, but this DR520 Estate may be of some interest to anyone looking for a (even more) limited edition. :dk:
Nothing to do with me, I just thought I'd share.

Nice interior.

The DR520 is a UK-only ‘special edition’ Mercedes C63 AMG, limited to just 20 built, of which 15 are saloons and 5 estates. These were only available through Mercedes flagship dealer, MB World, Brooklands and cost a full £9995 more than the stock C63 AMG, They were available in either saloon or estate body style and finished in either a matt white or matt black (both of which were a vinyl wrap). A matt-finish front grille, bespoke alloy wheels, Alcantara sports seats and dash, and AMG’s Performance steering wheel – clad, naturally, in Nappa leather and yet more Alcantara.

The ‘DR520’ tag points to a ‘Dyno-Rated’ output of 520 PS or 513 bhp.

Has anyone on here previously owned this car?

Looks to me like an aftermartket diffuser, or was this spec'able from MB?

I'm interested in a 507, all varieties but not WHITE if anyone is thinkign of selling. Was interested in the Red Estate for sale, but then read all about the Fire Opal issues, and wonky exhaust and crash damage.

Thanks Guys, and Girls.

I went over to look at a C63 Coupe a few weeks ago, the guy told me they “carbon up” most of the cars they sell, so aftermarket diffuser would be part of that

loosk like they’ve also added front splitter, side skirts and boot spoiler

Yes, that appears to have a lot of carbon after market stuff on it.
To each his own etc, but to my mind that spoils a 507 and I’d give it a wide birth.
For that money I’d be wanting an immaculate and unmolested example.

what’s irritating about this is that they’ve took off the OEM grille which is just over €400 new, and put an aftermarket one on worth £120... that or wrapped the OEM grille. Can’t really tell, the radar badges aren’t expensive to buy so they could’ve just swapped it over to an aftermarket grille

Hi All, I have a question regarding Himalaya grey alloys , The lacquer/varnish is discolouring and lifting in places on mine (like every other Mercedes we've ever had) so I took it to a local alloy refurb guy for a quote and he seems to think if they were diamond cut it would lose the grey AMG logo on the rim, I had always thought it was the black 507 wheels which were difficult to refurb so I wondered if my wheels are actually genuine as the AMG logo is not recessed as I thought was the case for all 507 wheels? see picture below.

If anyone else with Himalaya greys could confirm what theirs are like that would be appreciated. The car was bought from a Mercedes main dealer last August with 26,000 miles so there was no reason to doubt the wheels were genuine and they had the lacquer issue then. himalaya logo closeup.jpg

Looks genuine but they've already been refurbed before as the recess is almost gone. Next diamond cut it will go.

The black wheels are different in that the lip isn't machined flat, it has a concave profile that can only be machined with a very specialist CNC machine.
