Looks genuine but they've already been refurbed before as the recess is almost gone. Next diamond cut it will go.

The black wheels are different in that the lip isn't machined flat, it has a concave profile that can only be machined with a very specialist CNC machine.
Thank you Steve, that's re-assuring, but it's a dilemma now , do I refurb them and risk them not looking as original or stick with the laquer issue.
In my innocence I had thought as the wheels were undamaged the old laquer could be just be removed chemically and a new coat applied without having to re-cut the wheels.

times have moved on now, there are places out there that can refurbish and then apply paint to any areas (such as faces or outer rim) giving quite a convincing diamond cut finish

DR520, worth the premium?
Only you can decide but not to me.

Power is the same as a simple remap, it has the forged engine internals but they're not needed for the power. Lots of alcantara everywhere, which is nice but worth the premium?

It'll cost you more to get in but you should get more on the way out. For as long as you have it there's more money tied up in it for what is largely a cosmetic exercise. It will drive very much like any other C63.

Hi everyone, been searching for a few weeks now for a 507 coupe in white but nothing has popped up online. Making this post to see if anyone is considering selling theirs. Im looking for a fine low milage example. So if anyones thinking of selling please get in touch.

What’s the general view on the DR520.

Worth the premium?

No, just in a house exercise from MB Brooklands with no involvement from Amg.

"The Mercedes C63 AMG isn’t exactly a common sight on our roads, but if you’d like a little more exclusivity, how about this: the DR520. It’s based on the C63, but fettled at Mercedes-Benz’s Brooklands UK headquarters. Only 20 will be built in either saloon or estate spec, and we’re driving the estate"

I have seen one recently advertised for sale at £39,950. It is white, low mileage (17,000 rings bells) and is on Jersey but for the life of me can't remember where I saw the advert. If your good with Google you might be able to trace it.

Thank you, yes I did see that one on Facebook. I googled what’s involved in bringing a car over from Jersey and I’d personally rather wait for one a bit closer to home. The wheels aren’t the original 507 wheels either. The search continues.....

You’d have to pay VAT I think to bring it over. The car also didn’t have the correct 507 alloys.

Thanks Steve , that looks promising , might try to get a spare set of wheels first as wouldn't fancy leaving the car in Bolton overnight and they could be used for winters.

I will be putting mine up for sale shortly if anyone is interested. September 2014 coupe in silver with 12000 miles and full MB service history. In fact just recently been serviced. Full spec is on here thanks to Phil.
