Just out of curiosity Mr Spider, have you converted to the ‘205?!I thought it rang a bell when i saw the reg it was very clean

Yes I have at 1st I wasn't sure but I went for a very high spec non s rather than a standard s after driving both tbh it is a completely different car (in a good way) sound wise is as good with the performance exhaust and flaps open it is a low owner's, low miles I tried other marquees aswell but still ended up with another AMG

I know it must be a better daily, think that goes without saying …. But does it have that exciting ‘Leary’ factor? Or is it more grown up and composed?

I dont use it on a daily basis I drive a boring volvo v70 d5 
it is weird to explain but with the 204 driving was fun and you could get in trouble quite easily on the limit but the 205 is better handling but if this makes sense its even easier to get into trouble when on the limit as it just goes you wouldn't know it was turbocharged looks wise its abit sedated but does look nice with the pan roof open

I think I know what you mean! What’s the feedback like? I know it’s electric vs hydraulic but if you had to compare the 2? Sorry it’s just that I’m patiently waiting for a sweet 507 to come along but simultaneously keeping my options open …. The steering is more precise and the 205 does turn in better the 204 gives you that little bit more feedback but also feels different the 205 imo is easier to drive on the limit and exciting at the same time, if I had to choose id choose the 205 dont get me wrong they both make you smile but times have moved on and the 205 shows it as forr the edition 1 I looked at 2 and couldn't justify the price difference in the same context as the 507 compared to the PPP they are very nice though abit too much red for me if you were buying 1 for enjoyment id say the 205 if buying 1 for investment then id say the 507 I was made an offer i couldn't refuse hence it went im not 1 for buying the same car twice but this is my 3rd C63 from pre facelift to ppp to 205 and I dont regret any of them ,You should drive the 205 with an open mind and i think you will be shocked yes there are the die hard M156 members out there which I was 1 of them but this is a step in the right direction
You wont regret which ever you buy as long as the 507 has the LSD and the 205 has the performance exhaust enjoy

Mine dropped value over xmas and now has gone back up to where it was in nov the problem with the 204 is finding a genuine 1 same as the 205 nice examples will always fetch a premium imo they will never become cheap for the reason you have mentioned

Nice! No expense spared with the consumables 
the way it should be! Problem is, I’ve been looking at these more now the past few hours and becoming more and more keen on them! Especially the pre-FL, seems like MB toned it down with the FL, probably due to regulations but hey ho ….. Don’t you think the convertible just looks beautiful?!

I agree slightly with the convertible but It does look good ,I had the E93 M3 cab and it spoiled the car imo yes it had a hard top but the roof has to go somewhere, ie the boot so took the look away when up so I would never buy another cab,as far as the FL goes yes it has been toned down slightly especially the noise and speaking with people the pre facelift is the way to go inside the new 1 looks nice . The way I look at it is you have a budget and you look what cars are in the same league and imo for the money there is nothing out there which has soul they are not just a fast car they are entertaining at the same time then they can be sedate aswell My list was

Well I guess for starters the AMG is the most practical! I’ve driven an M4 comp but it just didn’t do it for me compared to the E46
How did you find it compared to the E93? Interesting you had some borderline supercars on the menu, what did you think of the R8? IMO it was like a well-behaved Gallardo

I've never driven a lambo ,the R8 is a very capable car and does exactly what you want it to do (drive very fast) but as you say the practicality is an issue plus the doors are huge if money was no object id have 1 tomorrow rather than a lambo which in fairness is way out of my league. the M4 comp was good fun but abit to track focused plus the rep is awful the E93 was the biggest mistake ive ever done if you drive above 5k everywhere then its a good car the dct box was sharp but in the back of your head at 8k rpm you are waiting for it to go bang if you change gear when your head tells you too they are lacking in torque which the AMG has a boot full of
