C63 507 Model Register

The non-road legal cars are any of them sorn? I wonder if they are damaged.

A few cars are SORN but others are taxed without an MOT. Given the tax is nearly £50 a month I'd have thought they would be SORN if they are garaged for the winter. These are the non-SORN cars:

car #2: Tax due 01/02/2019/MOT Expired 06/02/2018
car #3: Tax due 01/09/2019/MOT Expired 08/09/2018
car #4: Tax due 01/12/2019/MOT Expired 14/12/2018
car #5: Tax due 01/07/2019/MOT Expired 03/10/2018
car #6: Tax due 01/02/2019/MOT Expired 06/08/2018
car #7: Tax due 01/05/2019/MOT Expired 12/11/2018
car #8: Tax Due 01/05/2019/MOT Epired 01/12/2018
car #9: Tax due 01/03/2019/MOT Expired 11/10/2018
car #10: Tax due 01/03/2019/MOT Expired 11/12/2018
car #11: Tax due 01/02/2019/MOT Expired 26/12/2018

the first 3 have paid a years tax without being able to drive ther cars. #4 probably just hasn't got round to getting the MOT yet.

There are also 4 SORN cars and 4 where both the tax and MOT has expired without SORN.

To be honest, I just don’t find much pleasure driving such a car in wintry conditions. Summer use only for me....

I think my MOT ran out on 26 Dec 2018 just fitted a new rear tyre before Xmas in preparation Pot hole damage will get it Mot’d when I get it booked in to MB due a service as well but don’t use it in the Winter

I am curious did you do any damage to the alloy? I am trying gorge how resilient the alloys are on the 507 compared to the standard 19's on the c63 w204 range.

They should be much more resilient to potholes as they're forged, but not to kerbing.

No damage to the wheel just a small split on the inside wall of the tyre

My need to do high mileage is taking its toll so I will be going back to an E350D Coupe
I’m surely going to miss the noise

That's a shame to see you go. The 350D engine is a good one though and can be remapped to 700+ Nm.

Not a sellers market and only a special type will but a 507
Also, wanted to keep away from tyre kickers and when looking the price I wanted you could get a warranted 507 for a little more and have a bit of piece of mind
I won’t be modding the E350 and I will be staying in the lounge

Very good condition throughout and not given any problems during ownership.
I have done a Nurburgring trip in the car with no issues and a Speedo indicated 170mph on the autobahn. Car had oil change before and after trip.
Not managed any other track days due to work commitments.

Important (to me) spec info

174 mph (i have seen 170 on autobahn, clock speed)
