I fully understand that proper pictured can't taken in the dark.

...if I were in your place, I would have waited a few more hours and posted the complaint together with the photographic evidence in the morning. This would have eliminated this evening's pointless swashbuckling.

Why rush it? If you intend to take someone to court with this impatient attitude you are very likely to lose.

Post 139, he says he sent the bodyshop a photo of the rear. I assume this would show the imperfections, so why doesn't he post this?

In view of all the accusations and aspersions that have been cast, you can't seriously expect that all this can be forgotten and the slate wiped without an explanation of how this has been resolved?

Kaka, you obviously have very high standards, that's good.
Unfortunately you obviously are not able to articulate your requirements in advance so that your supplier is able to meet your requirements at a reasonable charge.
If you had gone to Andy and said,
"Look, I am the fussiest customer you are ever likely to meet. I want absolute perfection, and by perfection I mean I am obsessive about it. If there is even the tiniest flaw in the service I will notice it. Now I accept that you will need to take extra care and time in order to meet my exacting standards and that that extra care and time is going to cost more money. I am happy to pay for outstanding service. Before I ask you to do this work I need you to understand my requirements and be assured that you are willing and able to meet them, only then will we be able to proceed.",
then you would have a right to complain if your expectations are not met.
I suggest that in future you forewarn your suppliers so that they can accept or deny your instruction.
I think both you and your future suppliers would benefit from it.

Yes I think we would all be supportive of the OP had he gone about this in a reasonable manner. Based on how he has communicated on here , and the other forums , his sole objective appears to have been to ensure nobody ever used Andy and he seemed less concerned about getting things fixed with Andy.

Having read both the OP and Andy's response it is clear that the OP left out some crucial points around timings of messages , quantities etc. very 1-sided indeed.

I think most people are reasonable given facts and an explanation which stand up to scrutiny ..those were never in evidence from the OP simply what appeared t be a tirade of abuse about how poor the supplier was all taken out of context. That was the issue that got up people's noses here and elsewhere.

Whenever you are going to complain about something it is always best t be calm and factual. With both of these attributes in your armoury you win your debate 9 times out of 10. OP take note for future..somehow I think this wont be your last argument with a supplier.

I can only imagine Andy has offered to try Once more to fix this car simply to shut the OP up.

Most likely there's no need - now the OP had his refund (or whatever Andy threw in his direction to see the back of him) he won't be coming back to this forum... he got what he wanted.

Well, I say that, though he will be back when he is next 'dissatisfied' with some work carried-out on his car - but probably under a different user name anyway.
