Charging EVs at Hotels, Restaurants & commercial destinations

I've never stayed at an hotel and expected them to have a petrol pump in the grounds. Why would there be an expectation for them to provide EV charging?
It's very simple.
I go to fuel a petrol, diesel or LPG vehicle and it takes mere moments and all the time I'm engaged.
I go to recharge an EV and then go WTF am I going to do for the next half hour (or more)?

If I'm in a hotel I'd want to spend the time with who I'm with, not kicking my heels on my own shoving time in god knows where waiting for a battery to charge. Like I said, it's for hotel proprietors to figure out the level of service they provide but with every nuance of customer service being relayed to the internet they had better be pleasing their clientele. Or perhaps making them go to the village for a WiFi signal will save his bacon.... A horse would be better catered for. A bucket of water please and I'll see to it that your lawn gets trimmed.

It is a different proposition for electric cars.

You have no choice with petrol/diesel as you HAVE to have a specialist distribution point and all the safety regulations that are implied.

Electricity is much widely available and it is not essential to create specialist centralised recharging stations.
As the takeup of EV's progresses then users will expect a charge point to be available at the shopping mall, hotel or anywhere else where they may be stopping for awhile.

Our mind set will change will over time and the fossil fuel model is not necessarily the right one for EV's.

Parking points with inductive charging. The paracetamol will be free.

But I see a business opportunity for suburbia.
I buy an electric open back truck.
On that I carry a number of diesel generators so I can charge a few cars simultaneously while they're parked over night. I'll let electronic gizzmo's take care of the dosh rolling in.
I can charge extra for ear defenders for thems I'm keeping awake.

Now I'm away to think of security devices that will stop lower charge cars nicking from freshly charged cars, while parked obviously.
