 hello all and a very merry crimbo

now that the cold weather is upon us i have began to notice a really bad draft around the center console and passenger side foot well. heating system is fine and although this may sound really stupid it seems to get a lot worse when turning left. i`m thinking possible problem with ventilation/airflow gates anybody got any ideas

If you really think it's when turning left then check the steering column gater, it could be split.

On this one the centre vents are for fresh air. With the vent shut to "0" we seem to get a cold draft emanating from the ashtray area, as if the duct somewhere behind is leaking.

Is this possible? How do you get at it to fix?

+1 for the steering column gromet. If it is split, noise and air will just flow under the dash.

when fitting comand to my 202 I found a few, large pieces of insulation behind the dash and under the gear selector area, if those are missing there is a significant draught sometimes!
