In all my previous and existing MB I have NTG2 and NTG2.5 Comand and I'm very familiar with them , but recently my brother bought a W203 2003.He told me that the previous owner had someone to retrofit the Comand2 system.
At first the system coul not read cd, so he had some one to replace the laser head, but then my brother told me that the navigation was not giving the right directions, so I had a loock to it and try to assess it out without the manual.
Questions: Is the unit supposed to find its location ?
I think the antenna is not working because it shows 0 satellite.
If I go to nav setting and set the car location manualy then it get him to his destination, is this normal to set car location for the navigation to work?

Setting the location is a once only operation done at install time to calibrate the unit. It should see more than 0 satellites! If its not seeing any then the antenna is most likely at fault. Yes it should find its own location once it sees 4 or more satellites.
