Coupe vs Saloon

Neither

As the two gentlemen above say the right answer is estate.

1 - noisier in the car due to the space in the back (in a good way)

2 - bit more weight over the back for even more tail fun

3 - wonderfully incongruous

As you have no kids and currently have the boot space of an S2000, I would imagine either a coupe or saloon would meet your needs.

Personally I would go with a saloon but that's just me.

salloon for familly
coupe for looks all the way

Frustrating how the residuals are valuing the Coupe at less than the Saloon in the future.

I had an appointment to go view a Saloon yesterday, but cancelled it and I will be waiting it out for the Coupes to drop 2-3k more. I wonder how long I'll need to wait?

After reading all your thoughts, I realised I had my heart originally set on the Coupe, and when my head got involved I considered the Saloon. But in this case, the heart should always win.

I will be an owner in the not to distant future. Just waiting for the right one now at the right price :bannana:

People always assume the estate is chosen out of space based necessity

Not so

Not so, op asked about the choice between a coupe or saloon. No where in his post did he request an opinion or preference for an estate.

The E class coupe is based on a c class, get over it. No need for name calling. Take no notice pops123, welcome to the forum.

I never said it was not. Don't remember calling anyone names either. Perhaps you need to read the thread correctly.
My point was your new mate saying a C63 looks like a standard Merc what ever a standard Merc is.

No, you read it properly. You called him a rude name and accused him of snobbery. He didn't say a 'standard merc' he said 'a standard C class'. He was just expressing an opinion. :dk:

Are you unintelligent nothing above is name calling. You still have not shown me where I said the E was not based on the C chassis either ???
No I, I'm far more intelligent than you could ever comprehend. It is not about you saying that the E coupe was not based on the C. That was an assumption that I made based on your abusive and childishly defensive responses. Those responses are there for all to see.

The issue is about your abuse of the new member who was responding politely, why do it? Now in the interest of this thread and with respect for the OP and other members i will now put you on my ignore list. You, in the meantime, could 'man-up' and apologise to our new member, or leave altogether and make this forum a better place either way.
