E-Series (84) steering wheel

Hi, does anyone know whether a steering wheel from an e-series (84) is interchangable with a 190e (92), or to put it another way.. would an aftermarket wheel fitted to the e-series, fit my 190e?
Thank you for any advice/comments.

P.S. there are no air bags on either.

the w123's, w124's and w201's all have interchangeable steering wheels within this model range. any aftermarket steering wheel will require a boss but with the boss on the wheel will fit any of the models mentioned above. beware of aftermarket wheels though as they tend to be shorter in diameter which means that once on you will not be able to see the top of the speedo.

Hi, many thanks for your reply.
Since posting this question, I have bought and fitted the polished wood wheel together with the boss. You are of course, correct on all counts.
The wheel fitted ok, and at around two inches or so less diameter, I cannot see the speedo... lol.

Yes, but on the flipside, it should no longer feel like you're at the helm of a supertanker!
