East Yorkshire Virtual Breakfast Meeting - Saturday 25 April 2020

Am I too late to come today? First image is my first cobra, on the track at Spa so quite the diversion to the breakfast meet, second image is my second cobra at IVA test, so not much brightwork. Hope I'll be welcome!

My car history is not as lengthy as some and Scarlett the slk is the best car I have ever owned. Bought after a long term relationship went down the pan and I had wedding funds in my account that told mr Izzy (insignia) must go! I had a very strict criteria that my next cat would be two seater, fun and totally impractical. After a short search I saw Scarlett in wales and mover her closer for a test drive and fell in love with her immediately. Two days later she was on the drive and I have no intentions of changing till I can afford Ashley ( db9 or vantage).View attachment 95010

Nice one Dave , car looking good with the new grill :thumb: Any particular colour in mind for Ashley ?

You’re in good time and more than welcome Tony, I bet that was somewhat louder and quicker than my TransAm ;) :thumb:

It’s amazing how much difference changing the grill has made to the look of the car. I’d love a deep red for Ashley. I wouldn’t want the silvers that most people go for. Andy did you have the smokey and the bandit bird on the bonnet?

I have been incarcerated now for 33 days, been busy tho, house decorating and inprovements, fixing stuff, all the little jobs that i have been putting off.

Fitted proper bluetooth to my car using a module from a newer model, lowered it by tricking the ride height sensors

Then i went berserk and decided to redo my headliner

All the interior is in the house and as im going for a colour change i had to do other bits of trim

Morning chaps, here is my breakfast

Its very seldom I eat a cooked one.
Oh and I have arrived in the car I had in approximately 2000. I did not like how quiet it was so the intake and the exhaust got modded. The car was very fast and sounded great.
Wish I had kept it. Sorry can not find a full picture of it

This was the low point for me with cars, it was just terrible,

Among its many faults, loud slow no room in the back , when raining and you would have lights, wipers heater etc going you would stop and turn it off and the wipers would jerk across the screen and the lights and interior inc dash lights would flash to the same beat as the wipers. Had it 7 weeks and traded it for a 16v Passat like the one at The Motorist.

Sorry I'm late! Good to see you all

Technical issues this morning, so no pics! anyways my first car was a black Peugeot 205 gti and my brekkie was crispies with saltanas, tea, toast with marmalade.

Morning all, I’ve not been able to get into loft for pictures, so I’m afraid it’s very limited, so I’m arriving in my first car that I had on my own, I’m a bit late been working hard.C358ED39-1B20-4D32-B491-FA74966C55F6.jpegC358ED39-1B20-4D32-B491-FA74966C55F6.jpeg

Dave I’m really liking that grill  am going to have to look in to it, Martin I do love the colour on your Jag, don’t go making it too loud, they should have a bit of a growl👍

I can not find any photos of my first cars. My first was a 1960's mini in around 1974-75. This was followed by a Riley elf then a lot more minis you could buy them for around the £50 to £90 mark back then.
Others I remember are a Renault 5 GTX, 3.0 Toyota Supra, loads of Jaguar XJ 40's.
and these TVR's.
