Eurocharged 5.7L Monster Build

This build is gonna be awesome. Can't wait till the end result. Well done Guys Sent from my iPhone using MBClub UK

How long would it take for the build? Are the parts readily available? Thanks for sharing.

Darton are an awesome sleeve. However I had issues trying to get some for the M113K when I was doing my engine build about a month ago strangely....

I'm looking at custom 98mm darton M.I.D. sleeves as well, seems they're the flavour of the month :thumb:

Darton MID are very good as they use the x3 O rings seals on the bottom of the sleeve as apposed to most others sleeves manufactures using sealant (from application I know). It's all in the machining process, I know of open deck Honda engines running 1500 bhp requiring approximately 50+ psi of boost to achieve this so the sleeves have the pedigree.

Be interested to know what rods will be used?

If you plan ahead and source the parts then somewhere between 6-8 weeks is realistic, many of the parts to take to 5.7L are built to order which can delay things significantly. :wallbash:

Parts are still arriving but short block assembly should be just a few weeks away. 8 perfect pistons are waiting to go in.

Beautiful. Mahle? How heavy are they?

Nice!!

I'm sure a certain nice chap is going to be very pleased:thumb:

Can't wait to see this completed.

389.3g for piston 8

Is it with rings and pin? If yes, that's nearly 200g saving over OEM.
