Another thread to give a massive shout out to Ian at W124 works, I took my coupe in for its footbrake to be looked at, after (badly) attempting it to tighten it myself and diagnosing it as worn brake shoes.
Ian could not have been more friendly or helpful and after a brief inspection of the car he advised me the brake did not need replacing (just tightening properly) and that the rear shocks could do with replacing.
As its my MOT at the end of the month I thought this would be an ideal opportunity, replace them however the parts were not in stock.
A phone call later and Ian had them there for 11:30 and fitted by 12:30, the service was second to non.
I really cannot convey how impressed I was with the service and I really do advise all w124 members with issues who can reach the M6 to get the lofty heights of junction 32 and pay him a visit.
I also had the privilege of meeting a couple of other forum members there and got a tip off for a grey leather interior that I am going to collect tomorrow and fit.
No doubt a trip to W124 works to finish it promptly will be on the cards next week!
Thanks very much Ian, people with erroneous fuel needles need not reply.
