F TYPE vs SLK55 AMG

Well he went and swapped it for the 550hp V8 AWD convertible!

I'm not even going to mess with it, I've been out in it, I've driven it, the thing is mental, the sound is out of this world, totally different beast to the V6 S (380hp) much much better in every way!

A few snaps I took of it tonight:

The only better back end on the market today is the coupe version!

What a stunning car and you can't beat of oneupmanship with your pals!

Lovely motor, i'm not a convertible fan, but the F Type gets my vote also. Even before he swopped to the V8 the sound was very good, and the looks of the F Type speak for themselves. Jaguar has done very well in recent times.

That's one nice looking F-Type

I love the look of the F-type convertible and it draws attention, even around West London where there's a lot of competition.
When I first got in it I loved that popping on the upshift but after a little while, I realised that it was there so consistently (even when I wasn't pushing it) that it just started to feel a little contrived. My SL65 pops but it does it with a sense of occasion and character - character that is shaped according to how I'm driving it.
Hit the start button in the F-type, without your foot on the pedal and it'll pull 7k before it drops to a more sensible idle. Seriously, 7k! There's no slipping away in the early hours without waking the Mrs (or your Mum).
My conclusion was that it was a car for boy racers who couldn't be bothered (or didn't have the balls) to put their foot down for themselves so it did it all for U. Nice car, yes but trying a wee bit too hard.

Have you not seen the sports exhaust button?
Just turn it off and the thing is just as quite as any AMG.

I love it to be honest, makes me want to swap the 911 for one!
