You have to feel for the boys at Williams.
Good enough for Q3, perhaps?I wonder what time Colapinto would have achieved had he not brushed the first wall.
Ringside seat in ‘21 though eh?Hi,
Will be interesting to see how Mercedes do at the upcoming Qatar & Abu Dhabi races.
Both places will be much cooler than previous years - as the calendar has made them later than previously.
Doha is forecast to be 24 degrees C on Sunday (15 degrees at night).
One week later Abu Dhabi will probably be similar - or maybe a bit cooler.
It’s not unusual for it to rain in Abu Dhabi in early December (although not at the level we saw in the major storm earlier this year!!).
I live just a few minutes from the Yas Marina Circuit - but am always sad to see the driver’s championship is normally settled before the Abu Dhabi weekend.
Hope so!!Ringside seat in ‘21 though eh?

Indeed, even after watching it the outcome was hard to predict… Though I agree with the stewards.Cracking qualy this evening in Qatar, we really could not predict the final outcome
It was something of a sh!t show from race control. Not surprising I guess given the recent FiA ‘clearout’. A plethora of errors from Norris, Russell, Hamilton, Stroll, Hulkenberg, Albon, Perez (looks like he spun around on his own?)…Strange and inconsistent penalties in today’s race!
Why did they leave that mirror on the track - racing line at end of start/finish straight?
Took two punctures to bring out safety car and clear the carbon fibre sharp debris
We really still do miss the experience and decision making of Charlie Whiting. I can understand the new race controller being somewhat overwhelmed by the number of incidents today, but it is no excuse for leaving debris on the circuit for so long.It was something of a sh!t show from race control. Why it took the race director so long to bring out the safety car so they could get rid of debris on the only part of the track that offered overtaking opportunities, is beyond me.
For sure Charlie’s presence is greatly missed. We really still do miss the experience and decision making of Charlie Whiting. I can understand the new race controller being somewhat overwhelmed by the number of incidents today, but it is no excuse for leaving debris on the circuit for so long.
The mass exodus of FIA personnel is to blame, but whether they jumped or were pushed remains unclear.
