F1 2024

Two of the people in this story are very well known to each other.

Martin back in his F3 days with EJ. 41 years ago:eek:
For my part I drove the truck, prepared and ran the car, and did most other things that didn't involve getting money for the team.
Eddie was always the best at that....

Something I've know a little while, but not allowed to say anything is Martin Brundle OBE.
Obviously you don't ask for such things, but I know one of the people championing his cause was a guy called Hamilton.
Not Sir Lewis, but his father Anthony!
Martin was my driver in F3 against Senna, World Champion in Sports cars in 1988, Le Mans winner in 1990 and one of my drivers for Bentley in 2001.
His work for the BRDC and Silverstone goes under the radar a bit, but there is no hiding his work in motorsport commentary over the past 30 years.
I know him well enough to know that he will not become an Old Big 'Ed and that the award is well deserved.

Much deserved.

You may have seen the 2025 F1 Ferrari at the top of this page. They claim 99% new compared to last year.
This is Project 677. It is probably the most changed car ever from one season to another. It is certainly a big gamble, but the stakes have never been higher.
I think we will be hearing much more of Project 677.

I am sure I saw one of these at Brooklands museum - need to try and find if I took a picture
