Formula 1 2020 (Will Contain Race Day Spoilers)

I love the way Lewis Hamilton drives and I’m a big fan of his, I was surprised to see him wearing this shirt and had never heard of this lady.

I did a Google search and read a couple of posts to appraise myself.

It is a dangerous road to ask for the arrest of the police involved without knowing what actually happened, he is pre judging the outcome of something that is still being investigated.

I personally would rather famous people in sport stayed out of these matters.

I like the way Lewis drives and I think his stance on racism is to be applauded.
However, picking up on individual cases, especially ones under current investigation is not clever or correct. Ask anyone in the legal profession.
Lewis is still a young racing driver, passionate for a cause and probably has not had the experience of politics, the legal system and real life in general to make a more considered opinion on which battles to fight.

He's 35!

He's been in the motorsport bubble most of his life so is perhaps somewhat naive on wider issues and potentially gullible too? If he ever becomes pals with David Icke...
If you were to add Bob Lazar to the line up we could all watch the Fast, Alien and Bizarre show!

That's what I said, young! The average age for a Brit is 40, that puts him 5 years inside tipping over into the 'old' section.
As GeeJayW points out, he has been in the motorsport bubble for so long now that reality is possibly an alien concept to him.
I have spent 40 years in motorsport and my wife says that I still don't live in the real world:dk:

This speaks to a fairly common issue that those in the public eye because they are good at something (whether that be sport, music, acting or whatever) often feel that this gives them authority to pronounce on matters about which they may be passionate, but have little expertise.

That Lewis is a great driver is self-evident. Unfortunately, and while I'm sure he's sincere in his views, he is increasingly using that gift to publicise his lack of personal awareness.

I've spent Zero years in Motor Sport and am 47 - My wife has never considered I live in the real world :P

The problem for the young rich and famous is sycophancy whereby you tend to get surrounded by individuals wishing to curry favour or bask in your reflected glory. On that basis its unlikely they will tell said celebrity what they need to hear as opposed to what they might like to hear. Ironically despite being surrounded by adoring friends and fans they may end up socially isolated. :(

Especially when he’s black.
Nobody and that’s absolutely nobody, will tell him that he’s wrong, or crossed the line or that he’s doing more harm than good.

Regardless of Hamilton's true motives, intelligence level or understanding he is achieving one thing.

Everyone is talking about him.......................

Unconfirmed yet, but plenty of places reporting the former Ferrari boss and current Lambo CEO will head F1 next year. Should be interesting having former Ferrari bosses heading F1 and the FIA
