Formula 1 2020 (Will Contain Race Day Spoilers)

Can you enlighten us all with evidence of Hamilton telling Dennis to f%#k off as I simply can not recall it. When was it? Where was it? If it was broadcast it’ll likely be easy found on the tube of you.

Neither did you reply to me querying you about Sky F1 broadcasting the Jules B accident. 🤔
Hi Happy
I think folks have answered most of your questions but sadly I am not going to post a link showing the death of a driver, it is out there and if you want to see it then please feel free. Simoncelli in MotoGp is another horrible death that is out there and taken from a television channel :(, I am against showing the death of any sportsperson but yes, when filming live, it would be difficult to impossible to avoid it. I am not taking a personal stance regarding this.... more like these sports folks have relatives, friends, husbands, wives, partners etc etc and I just think it plain wrong to show the death of their nearest and dearest. Those that think it okay, then fine. It is going to be found on Youtube

Certainly was NOT a child and would NOT have been treated like a child.

In any team sport if you treat a prima donna like a prima donna, let them talk to you how they want, and tell the leadership to F***k Off whenever the mood takes them, then you will have problems.

So .... to recap .....

basically a young driver with attitude gets tainted for life even though he has grown up quite a bit.

can you expand on that?

What is wrong with using his position to raise aware of an issue many might be blind to?

Do you decry Nelson Mandela for the same?
Do you know the FULL history of that person? YES, a thousand times YES I criticise that man's actions prior to being incarcerated. The man's wife carried on encouraging these actions and of course he was at the very least aware of what was taking place but this has NOTHING TO DO WITH F1 but I guess yesterday's terrorist can be tomorrows President

Yes, Sir Ferguson was infamous for his so-called hair-dryer treatment but was he respected by his team? Did they sulk and walk away if they were shouted at? Did they perform out of their skins and win multiple trophies? Do all the successful players that were in his team speak highly of him?

They played as a very 'united' team and they ALL KNEW WHO THE BOSS WAS?

So a team respecting the foul mouthed, gum chewing Ferguson is ok...but a team respecting an individual for having belief in themselves is wrong....

Yes i am fully aware of who and what Mandela's past was - I've read his book. Clearly you don't believe in redemption

Someone who holds such views (Black Lives on't Matter) is not someone i want to talk to - bye!

There really is no need to shout in order to make a point.

Re-read my post John. I never once asked for a clip of Jules B's incident, nor do I ever want to see it. I merely said that I do not recall seeing footage during Sky F1 coverage. I clearly remember the camera cutting to the pit lane.

So what you are saying is that if Hamilton had more respect for his boss then both he and the team may be successful? :dk:

I don't think @glojo holds the view that some don't matter. To the contrary. His stated view is that *all* lives matter.

And I'll add that I still find it galling that F1 can make statements about racism and diversity and at the same time it's leading team and its activist driver ramming home that message are emblazoned with 'Petronas'.

Many apologies :)

To others, Yes there is a huge difference regarding leadership styles compared to drivers\players telling that same boss to F**k Off. I guess that my military background might be influencing me but that's the way.

In my little world, to murder lots of folk by placing rubber tyres over them and then filling that tyre with petrol... That is not nice and not something I would ever condone, and not something I liked to see. Thank goodness the person that condones this is now ignoring me :) And again, apologies for going way off topic

To sum up, The owner of a team is in my opinion perfectly entitled to shout at their employee if there is just cause. The employee should be shown the door when they tell the boss to f**k off and then wilfully and deliberately disobey the instruction, order, that they were given. Yes, in the spur of the heated moment, a driver might tell the boss where to go but when that driver is given a firm order first by the engineer and then the boss that is different. yes the might 'might not hear; the instruction and ignore what was said and yes the driver might have 'radio problems' Those examples can be dealt with internally

maybe...

remind me how many products Petronas provides for your MB?

McLaren...

Hmmmmmm.

McLaren last won a championship in ..... 2008.

They sort of held a 'shiny top team but but not quite fast enough' position until 2014 and then got tangled with the false dawn of switching to Honda.

(You know you're old when 2008 doesn'ty seem that long ago)

Was McLaren as dominant then as MB are now? I can't recall

clearly Lewis is a smart man and saw something that few others did.....

He would have known more about the situation at McLaren then as well.

At that time a lot of us thought McLaren were by far the better bet ....... I thought LH was making a mistake moving to Mercedes.

Apparently Niki Lauda was paramount in Lewis’s decision.
