Formula One 2018 - General Thread

Another poor day for McLaren as it breaks down again.
F.A 1.8 seconds slower than Riccardo using the same engine. Rubs it in that rookie Tom Hartley with a Honds powered Torro Rosso is quicker

Best to get teething troubles sorted now, but not looking good with the first race in just over 2 weeks.

Formula 1 testing - Ricciardo fastest as McLaren break down again

Well you cannot blame him,the other day a wheel came off, those two drivers must be saying their prayers when they pull out the garage .

Blimey.

That pesky Bruce Miller will be laughing his t!ts off.

I just hope that as a team they did not get lazy in blaming Honda for everything. It was sad for the sport to see the mud slinging from McLaren to Honda last season.

Now they need to step up on their own merit.

Deb, Em & I are going to dress in our (2017) McLaren Gear & watch Testing tonight.

Thought process is that it may be the only 2nd place we’ll get this year. Shame they’ll be no podium. :p

Never say never Ant. If they can iron out the early teething problems, and on the right track FA is capable of a podium with a little luck.

Here you go guys, make sure you play this long, strong, hard and loud before the next and every race this year. :):)

They were starting from a very low base point last year....
Despite the additional weight of the halo (or split screen) all the cars are quicker this year.
They are pulling 7g through the fast chicane:)
Just imagine not lifting or braking for the tightest motorway exit slip road you know...whilst traveling at about 3 times the motorway speed limit!
Yes! It's quite hard to imagine that:cool:

I imagine it all the time. Love it. Love everything F1.

Amazed at the fact the new Halos have to pass a 15 ton test. Imagine the reinforcement work that’s gone into the car to withstand that. The weight of a double decker bus. Yikes.

So they’ll be ok if a double decker bus driver strays into Albert Park by mistake tomorrow!
