Genuine W202 C36/C43 17' AMG Alloys

These wheels in normal silver colour with polished lips fetch well over £1000.

These ones should fetch a lot more than that..

True these wheels with the polished lips would be worth more..

But Jay although i respect your opinion, & am convinced your knowledge in cars & particularly this marque far exceeds mine, I have to confess your estimation of 1000 pounds seems out by almost double, I say this as the last set to sell on ebay went exactly that, half.

Its also true that last set may not heve benefitted from a full refurb, but even so, I think you are quite a way off the true value of these.

I know these are worth an arm & a leg at the Dealers but in the real world of ebay & real world prices they are changing hands for considerably less.

I may be sticking my head out here and with all due respect to you, NO WAY jose...

I am in the process of buying a set for my SEC from germany, have just paid EUR1500 for a virtually brand new set and importing them from germany saves you around 25% on these wheels..

If id have known Nav had these i would probably have done a deal with him..

I think Dee is referring to the W124/W202 17" wheels, not the split rims!

KLP, how much are you willing to take for these wheels?..I see there is no reserve, so will they go to the highest bidder or will you end auction if the figure you have in mind is not met?

I ask as a lot of sellers use this tactic of 'no reserve' so to get more interest & to get the punters excited...

As a buyer i know a reserve can put me off, even though i know of the above tactic!

I also ask as I will need a set of 17" AMG's to put on my Cabriolet... (Im also after a AMG Kit for her as I write this!)

How do think these will look on W124?

£450 is what i'm after for them. You might get lucky and get them cheaper if you bid,but i do have 78 people watching them.

What exactly have you bought for 1500 euros from Germany? if im not mistaken these are standard C43 AMG alloys, nothing that will look better than what you already have on your SEC...

If you have purchased 2-piece or 3-piece split rims, thats another story all together....I expect them to cost the earth!

Is not often people put on C-class AMG alloys on their S-class Coupes, but each to their own..

If you bought a virtually brand new set from Germany, thats hardly a similar comparison, even with the 25% discount, like i have already conceded they are an arm & a leg brand new at the Dealers, but these are second hand, even though mint with the help of the refurb...

Lets see what they end up going for in the end.....

(PS:Lets just hope you dont shill bid to keep face!)LOL

I don't appreciate comments like this. If you don't want them, don't buy them.

I have been trading on ebay for many years and one thing i've leaarnt is that if you sell a quality product, you'll always get a fair price.

ahhhh sorry Dee.. i thought you were referring to the split rims...

my apologies.. no idea on the value of the other set!

Hi, refurb on AMG alloys looks top notch. I really like the sterling silver finish. Same question as gurpz above: Who did the refurb and ballpark figures? Thanks.

KLP mate, this comment was not at all directed at you, and I was not for 1 second implying that you are involved in shill bidding or anything of that nature, or doubting your integrity as a seller...

Like I explained before, with the amount of wheels you have sold & with the feedback that you have, you are obviously a quality seller...

The remark was tongue in cheek, and aimed at Jay, during the time we had that misunderstanding about the pricing of the wheels...

To be fair, I did not know weather he was on a wind up or completely serious.... I mean, C43 alloys on a SEC, 1500 euros for C43 alloys from Germany!...But misunderstandings happen I guess!

I'm gonna show my ignorance -- what is shill bidding??
