Guess the car? A lot of good work for charadee, mate!

I saw that too after I'd said, but I'm really pretty sure it's a sierra, not a granada..

Don't ask...:o

There were far more 1.8 Sierras made than 1.8 Granadas.........

Then again, the window behind the rear door looks more Passat-ish ?

And looking at the rear tailgate - and trying to scale the car against the bins, I'll say Ford Escort.

Do you konw I was going to say Sierra. XR4x4 as well!

1.8 Granada???? I don't think so. Maybe there was 1 once. Aah yes so there was (after wiki-ing).

Lotus Carlton was 4dr.

The front bumper is quite 3Series-y though. Maybe a Sierra with a deep RS bodykit.

A mate of mine reckons it's a Rover SD1 ..

He's mailed the seller to ask him , and the seller says he's not telling , but the SD1 hasn't been added to the list , so it may be right .

I reckon its too small for an SD1, especially when comparing the size of the garden chair and wheelie bin. It also seems too tall for as well.

I reckon its a older cavalier SRI hatchback with the additional front spoiler.

(second shot would be sierra)

I'd say it's not an SD1 as well looking at the front bumper, bonnet slope and rear tailgate having a flat sectrion at the rear.

Where does it say it's a Sierra ?

It doesn't.

Consesus of opinion seems to lean toward it being a Dagenham rust banger.

After being very sad and downloading the picture then enlarging it. Looks to me that it has a body kit and the indent in the front is in the splitter and not in the bumper like the Sierra. Still know idea what it is, but something keeps telling me Nissan Primera.

Ha, ha, ha! This bloke almost got some fool to pay more than 2 grand for a 1990 Sierra with 160K miles on the clock. :D

It's true then, a fool is soon parted of his money... Some people just can't help themselves.

Winning bidder didn't pay!

Which is why I said "almost". :D

However, the winning bidder probably has little legal excuse for not coughing up. If he's in the UK, it might be worth pursuing legally at that kind of rate.

He has plenty of reason not to pay

He bought a snow covered car , i bet its not snow covered now ;):)

ebay is not legally binding anyhow and i very much doubt any of the money would have actually gone to charity , it was an interesting way to sell a banger thats all

(Maritime Blue not Marine Blue...)
