Is there an answer to this Jonny??

I sold my H reg 300E-24v for £750 - that had a bit of rust, working aircon and had a lot of money spent on it the year before
In it's current state, I would not give more than £500 for it

This is what I got:-

Crazy ?

Saw this last night, thought it would be an ideal engine donor to my SL project.

1990 MERCEDES 300E-24 AUTO GREEN on eBay (end time 07-Mar-10 14:14:38 GMT)

Emailed them for info on history price etc.
"No history but immaculate". Not what their ad says.....

Guess the reserve??

No cheating either!!!
I was looking for one of these last year and was astonished at what punters wanted for them, test drove one and found out what all the fuss was about. That one was a 300ce24, and he wanted £4000, but it was mint. bet this joker thinks he can get near that money for his heap. The engine alone is worth £1000 with those miles, so he will be punting at around £3000. Won't get it though, seen a lot better,a lot cheaper.

Now if that had been a cabriolet, in that colour green, with that heritage grill...it would have been worth about 25k
