Car started making a horrible scraping noise a few weeks ago and traced it to the front drivers side wheel

The disc was really hot that side, so I thought must be brakes. Removed the caliper and it was pretty much seized, so I replaced it with a new one about 10 days ago

Yesterday it started doing this horrible metal scraping sound again, so I took the caliper off and then I turned the hub and it felt like it was sticking, felt really rough

I took the adjustable bearing out of the end and it looked fine, so i put it back together thinking I will take it to the garage this week, but since then its fine again

Is there another bearing behind the hub? I was going to take the hub off but I dont have a puller and it wouldn't come off just by pulling it

Yes. There will be a bearing inside and out. Pop off the hub nut and remove the hub. Behind the bearing seal will be the inner bearing. Easy job to do and about 25-30 mins per side.
I would be surprised if the kit for each wheel came to much more than about £15

Get the job done now. I had a similar situation many years ago but the bearing actually failed and I was landed with a big bill.
