Hi all,

Should be up and running on LPG in two weeks time so as I travel around the country a lot I was wondering what the prices were like in your area??

Current prices I have found so far in my local area: -

Andover 42.9p
Watford 35.9p
Bracknell 39.9p
Slough 39.9p
Basingstoke 39.9p
Fleet 43.9p (M3 services)
Reading 43.9p (M4 services)

With some of thes prices now being near 1/3 of the cost of unleaded I can't wait!! :D

33 per litre in manchester
please note you will get around 22 to 24 mpg at best and ypu need to run approx 15 % of the time on petrol

That will do for me :D Get around 32mpg on unleaded and expected a drop on LPG, 15%?? I guess this is for start up when cold. I am usually on the road all day so hopefully this will only happen then.

44.9 in Guildford...
41.9 in Addlestone
41.9 in Chetsey
44.9 in Torquay
44.9 on A3 North and South bound just South of M25 Junction 10

I read somewhere that LPG is currently LOW TAX and will soon become HIGH TAX as other fuels are. It said the goverment were subsidising it for a few years to kick start the trend.
I might be mistaken though it was a while since I read the article.

Im sure you are correct as LPG has been around for years but can't see them killing it off that soon as it has 'enviomental benifits' which they have to be seen to promote and not that many people have taken up the offer to use it anyway  so realisticly how much would they make by putting it up to petrol/diesel prices?? It would just kill off the LPG option alltogeter as not many would do it for just the enviroment alone

LPG at Morrisons in Swansea is 32.9P/Litre.

My old W124 230E will do 25MPG on gas and I haven't put petrol in it since 2001.
There is no need to start on petrol in my experience.
I have a first generation LPG kit and adjusted the overlapping so she fires up on gas.
I admit it is a little finicky with lumpy tickover when cold.
The car has now covered 263,000 miles and has been runninng on gas for 115,000 miles with no probs at all.

32.9  Shame it is so far away from me!!

Nice to hear about you experiences with LPG, most comments I have had so far (not on this form) have been negative but those people don't even use it!

33 pence in oldham i have used lpg and would not go back
we have a shortage of crude and thus petrol however to refine crude to diesel is a big problem and most are working flat out lpg is a by product and thus the amount produced will reduce as well
the government has said they will increase the tax but ??? how much
