Is snow foam worth it?

£10-00 but their after sales service does not exist - I wanted a replacement washer and mailed a few times without reply.

Foaming Equipment

Don’t waste money on these, they’re basically replacement foam cannons the like you’d get bundled in with your pressure washer!

Best lances out there are well worth the money. I also have an Autobrite one and for £35 with plenty of Magifoam solution to get you going for a while, it’s a worthy investment

I've just ordered some high concentrated PH Neutral snow foam. that claims to remove traffic film. its so concentrated that it only needs 50ml to 950ml water in a cannon. will do a full review this weekend with the product details and price etc

don't get too caught up with Ph levels.. Many solvent based products are also ph7 or close to that and will strip your wax in no time at all.
I recently started to use Autoglym Polar Blast and find it very good. After reading more of this thread I checked the pH and it is 7.35 - probably as close as you can get to neutral. The solvents are long chained alcohols. CHeers. Gareth

When I started my valeting business I didn't use it as, has been already pointed out you still need to go over the car with a mitt to get everything off.
I do however use it now if nothing else for PR purposes!;)
It seems to have a positive psychological affect on my client's when they see their car all white!! ;).
I use Autoglym Polar Blast. On heavily soiled cars it goes on and gets left to loosen that, then washed off ready for a good old fashioned hand wash. ;)
Very interesting views from a professional

It really does make a difference buying a good snow foam lance. The Autobrite lance that Lee recommended is a great item and knocks out some serious suds. I wouldn't advise you to buy a £10 lance, this is probably the reason why people don't get good results.

This guy seems to disagree with you! My £17 lance from the same link above makes suds as thick or thin as I want them......

You suggested that AntMB should buy a £10 cannon, I said that I wouldn't advise on buying a £10 cannon and the Autobrite that Lee suggested (which I have) is a good item to buy at £35.
The video you attached shows a range of cannons starting at +/-£22, more than twice as much as the item you suggested Ant should buy. I've had a £10 plastic cannon that came with the pressure washer and it was useless.
What is your point.:dk: The video didn't show a £10 cannon being as good as a £35 cannon, so why did he disagree with me :dk:

I didn't wish to view the whole video so after the pricing line up I skipped to the summary, if I've missed some relevant info, please enlighten me.

The video was to put your comments into perspective.

+-£22 is more than a third cheaper than what you are plugging. Pan the Organiser couldn't make a real choice between any, from the cheapest to the most expensive...........go figure

How do you know the £10-00 units do not work? Are they the same as the unit you had?

Your implication is that more expensive units are better.

As stated, I have a £17-00 unit that works perfectly well so why pay £35? The snow foam mixers / cannons/ lances are very simple bits of kit and like all fads the sellers are climbing on the bandwagon and charging exorbitant prices.

- The £10 units are what you get free with a pressure washer

- expensive units are better, you didn’t buy an SL250 did you?

- you come on the thread saying SF is pointless, and it’s clear the problem is your substandard materials and hardware, yet us (and thousands of others in the country) use recommended foam with different cannons which are a tad more expensive than buying a stock cannon, and you just shut every recommendation down?

There would be a cure for cancer one day, everyone walking around cancer free and you’d still be denying the obvious

I think the answer is simple.

Wash your car the way you want with whatever you wish to use.

(exits to start thread on polishing shoes .........)
