Probably...:D

It's going to need a bit of TLC and a few quid spending on it, but the devil in me couldn't miss out on one of the most, shall we say, delicate Mercedes of all time.

It'll be getting collected as soon as possible and then we can have a look at what needs really doing.

Anyway, here are a couple of photos;

I look forward to going thousands of pounds over budget...:D

Looks good !

Mileage ? Known probs ?

You're even nuttier than I thought!

Just because the sale of my Alpina was agreed today doesn't mean you should rush out and buy another AMG in your disappointment!

The problems are as follows (some will be subjective I suppose)

ABC - Replace and fit
engine breathers - blocked and leaking. Need new pipes
rear discs could do with replacing - pads fine
wiper blades smearing
front wheel bearings
offside front shock - dust cover gone - new strut
sun visor
front number plate plinth
mirror cracked (I never noticed this)
control arm gaiter
rear exhaust box & clamp

Nice one Lee. You will love it. The dealer will love it. The petrol station owner will love it. The bank manager .......:-)

A lot of car for no money and when fixed, no longer fragile.

A sound decision and I look forward to reading all about it.

Why nor change your name to Sugs? He was in charge of The Madness if I remember rightly.

When I should the wife a photo, she said "Don't Mercedes make cars in any other colours than bloody silver?!" :fail

You may indeed be mad, but I salute you! Good luck with it..

Cheers,

I thought you might have mentioned the dealer quote for the work:eek:...I am sure this would provoke a good forum reaction....You will have it A1 especially if you can get parts away from the dealer, look forward to the updates....still a great buy!

I still can't get over that quote for a car that's 12 years old:confused: and way over its value...for that you can buy x3 W215 CL500 on trader...

It slipped my memory tbh that Mercedes wanted £9,000, yes nine thousand pound sterling, to carry out the aforementioned work...

I recon 2K tops to repair that.
