Kleemann SLK 55K S8

Bobby, I'm pretty sure all the S8's came with an LSD :thumb:
Given the extent of the rest of the conversion I expected it to have one too. It will be going into the main dealer for an inspection when I pull my finger out so I’ll ask the Technician to have a look - they’ll let me take a look for myself too.

Should be easy to find out with a prod of the pedal 🤣😉😎
That would indeed be one way. I’m reluctant to give it too much in the low gears because I believe that the conversion made no changes to the transmission.

I am considering having the transmission rebuilt with a fresh a set of strengthened clutch packs from Weistec, but that would be a job for the future, let’s see.

Hi
Nice to hear there is another SLK55 Kleemann in the UK.
I have had one for years but it doesnt come out much and has never seen salt.
Interested in your gearbox mods as the gearbox is the only thing that lets it down for me.

Nice pic, shite parking 😁
There were only a 1,100 parking spaces available on that completely empty car park, so I made sure I was quick 👀
If I'd parked there, I'd have come back to find my car surrounded by Corsas and Fiestas with Carlos Fandango wheels, blackout curtain tints, Exocet launcher exhausts and more plastic body additions than are found at a Kardashian family reunion. Just like every time I park in a supermarket carpark.
:wallbash:

I have the KW v3 suspension on mine. Not only is the stance wherever you want it, the damping is in a whole different galaxy to the stock suspension

Uhoh don't start on the suspension talk again ;)

I took it to the main dealer today to have the airbag replaced (recall) after it had been on back order from Germany for a couple of months.

It’s the first time it’s been to the main dealer since I’ve owned it and so the technician who looks after my cars gave it a thorough health check.

They called me through to the workshop to have a look underneath, and in hindsight I wish I had taken some photos and videos because I don’t have any.

The technician was absolutely gushing about the condition, inside l, outside and underneath, and said it was much better than even the mileage would suggest.

Glad it’s as good as I hoped it would be 👍🏻

I don’t usually post photos of cars I buy but this one might be a rare exception.

This car definitely deserved to be shared here. What a car! It must be a lot of fun with all that power :)
I never knew such car existed

It’s a bit of an animal, unsurprisingly the whole experience of driving it is dominated by the engine and exhaust.

Stupid fast, stupid cheap. Can't help wondering how the seven-speed gearbox has lasted this long with that much power and torque, though.

Am I tempted? What do you think? HOWEVER...

Do ya feel lucky, punk? Well, do ya?

If I didn't already have an SLK55, I'd be seriously considering this. I'd imagine it will sell quickly.

No chance at 45 mpg! Dash display is probably off.

Modesty not the seller’s strong point it would seem 🤣

Nice enough car though, would be nicer if it didn’t have so many miles though :)

It's an M113; it might well be OK in the engine department at least.
